F11 error persists after powering down and back up. Model 79047783403. Does the EOC need to be replaced and can I do this myself?

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

The error code generally indicates either you have a bad oven thermocouple or the EOC is bad.

First, remove the thermocouple through the back.

25656710-5ds3gtdzu2lsmxhybqelrkoe-4-0.jpg Part #: 316217002 Cost: $32.00
With a multi-meter set the meter to the lowest Ohms. Insert the two probes into the two contactors. You should get a reading between 1000 - 1100 Ohms if it is good.

If this is good then you have a bad EOC board.

25656710-5ds3gtdzu2lsmxhybqelrkoe-4-2.jpg Part #: 316418554 Cost: $190.00
When replacing make sure you ground yourself by rubbing your hands on bare metal. Static electricity will knock out a control board.

The part cost is based on Sears cost. Search the internet for the part numbers, you can get these parts for less.

Is the F11 error code usually caused by the over control board or the overlay

Thank you for your inquiry, Warren!

From my understanding you are receiving an error code of "F11" on your Frigidaire range. Typically an "F11" code stands for a shorted keypad. I would suggest performing a reset on your range and you can do that by disconnecting power from your range for roughly ten minutes. If that does not help correct your issue you may need to replace the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). This is not a simple DIY job and I would recommend having a professional technician out to assist you with replacing the electronic component. Hopefully this is helpful. -Matt

I AM GETTING F1 ERROR CODE ON FRIDIGEAIRE MODEL #CFEF372CS2 SERIAL # NF41924422, ONLY OVEN NOT WORKING

I am 99% positive you need a new EOC based on the fact that you said you heard the all too common pop noise. EOCs usually cost around $200-$300 and sometimes more. The EOC in this is the same as your clock, if you took off the top back you will see burn marks on the back of the clock.

Kenmore gas range F11 error code

The "F11" fault code indicates a shorted button on the electronic oven control. This means the oven control board will likely need to be removed and replaced. You could disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power. If "F11" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control board (EOC). but if i had your model number i could nail it right on the head with a fix...

Frigidaire f11 error

I suggest to try unplugging the device from power socket 5 minutes and reconnect. If the error goes away, then well and good; if not, you may have to replace the panel control.

Failure Code: F10 / F11 / F12 / F13

Condition:
- Runaway Temperature.
- Shorted Keypad.
- Bad Micro Identification.
- Bad EEPROM Identification/Checksum error.

Check/Repair:
1. (F10 only) Check *RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive.
2. (F11, 12 & 13) Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power.
3. (F11, 12 & 13) If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

We are geting a F 11 code on this Model number plgfmz96ecc

Your F11 error code is displayed below. It would be best to have the unit serviced by a professional for this type of fix as if not performed properly, the fix could end up costing over $500.00.

F11
Shorted Keypad.

1. (F11, 12 & 13) Disconnect power, wait 30 seconds and reapply power.
2. (F11, 12 & 13) If fault returns upon power-up, replace EOC.

Kenmore electric range shows a f 10 code when oven is on after while.

Hi,

F10
Runaway Temperature.
1. (F10 only) Check RTD Sensor Probe & replace if necessary.

I would first pull your range out from the wall, unplug your range, then take off the back access panel and using a DVM check the ohm reading on your oven sensor#37 here:
http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_pn...9098-00003.png
It should ohm out at 1100 ohms at room temperature.

Here's the oven sensor probe for your model:

If that checks good, then your EOC control board is the problem.

Here's the EOC Board for your model:

I hope that this helps.

Installed new EOC for Sears Kenmore Elite 790 46609500 oven.

The F30 error code indicates that the electronic oven control board detects an "open" oven temperature sensor probe circuit.
This is usually caused by a failed oven temperature sensor probe.

Replacing this component will likely fix your problem.

You can order this part from www.searspartsdirect.com website.

If you replace this part yourself, be sure that you unplug the range to disconnect electrical power before accessing this component.

On some models, you can replace the probe by removing the screws that mount this component to the inside back wall of the oven.
Carefully pull the probe inside the oven cavity until you encounter the wire harness disconnect plug.
Unplug the sensor and replace it with the new one. Mount the new probe on the back wall of the oven.

On some models, you have to remove the lower back oven panel to access the sensor probe.

If you replace the probe and still have this problem, you will need to unplug the range and measure the resistance through the violet wires that plug into the control board (this is where the sensor probe circuit is connected to the control board).
If the resistance through the oven temperature sensor probe circuit is normal (about 1100 ohms at room temperature) then the electronic oven control board will need to be replaced.
