Question about Husqvarna Garden

Lube Cap Won't Unscrew

Bought my chainsaw from Amazon.com. During assembly, was checking out the machine to familiarize myself with it. Tried to unscrew the lube cap and it wouldn't budge. Do they have King Kong putting those caps on at the plant?

SOURCE: Chainsaw Bar Lube Oil Leaking

A new mounting bar would solve this issue. On that mounting bar there is a little piece that allows oil to drop onto the bar when you call for it or if this is a electric bar oil chain saw. Then it tracks when it needs to open.

SOURCE: Husqvarna chainsaw 440e - enough chain lube?

That seems low to me. Page 15 in your manual is the only oil discussion I found. Usually there is an oil pump adjustment reference somewhere. I didn't see one beyond return it for service on page 15. Are the chain and bar hot after cutting a while? I recommend you not get a longer bar without an oiler adjustment. I think the hand of the EPA has been here.

An IPL (exploded parts list) for a 440 can be found here:
http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/USA/2009/I09000/I0901018.pdf
There is no oiler adjuster listed. HTH

Might be a good idea to copy the IPL,

SOURCE: PoulanPro PP3516AVX gas cap will not go in and close properly

I hate to say but you need two caps or run non ethanol fuel. There are a few gas stations around that still sell it. I keep a can around for the saws. What I do is run one and let the other sit in the sun and dry. I can usually use one all day before it swells.

SOURCE: poulan chainsaw 18" 42 cc, pro gas filler cap?

Yep they swell after a while and will not screw in or out!
Sand the threads down so that the circumference is reduced with a course file or plumbers cloth, chamfer the threads a bit on the edges. A new one will do the same thing after a while so just fix the one you have.

The brushes won't turn, and cleaning the filter (as suggested in the owner's manual) doesn't help.

Hi ken wright.
Remove the bottom of the head of the vacuum...remove the roller brush assembly.
Clean the assembly...remove the end caps and clear all hair, strings, etc from the end cap and rotating brush head.
After cleaning the brush head and bearings, lube the bearings with a good grade of machine oil such as 3 in 1 oil.
Check your belt condition.
Reassemble and you should be good to go

Hello,
To check the pump filter for blockage, remove the panel underneight of the door, the pump will be in right lower corner, unscrew the big(about 4 inches diameter) white cap just a little and use towels to catch water that comes out of it,when all water out completly ,unscrew and check for blockage.

Chainsaws run a little on the rich side when free running, this additional fuel is then used drawn upon when the saw goes under load, so i would say it is running a bit on the lean side, you need to make an adjustment to the H mixture screw on the carb, unscrew the screw approx 1/2 turn and see if this makes it any better.

How do you take off the Pannarello steam attachment to install the Cappuccinatore? Does it screw off or does the entire unit pull off. I've tried some force but I don't want to break the Pannarello. Thanks

Hi
Most pannarello's have a screw cap on top. The outer shell pulls off with a twist. Hold the inner stem and twist the cap on top to unscrew. Leave the cap and seals on the wand, or just loosen the cap and pull the whole assembly off complete, or you could loose parts that are inside.
