Question about Atari Video Game Consoles & Games
My Tv is a 13" magnavox Sdtv with a built in Dvd player. The back of the tv has the rca port and the antennae port. In front you have the audio/video ports (yellow and white)I tried putting the tv on channel 3 and nothing. I use the "Select" button to change from Dvd player to other things. None of them work. I cannot get the video game picture to show up on the screen. Not sure what to do. Is it because this is a small tv with a built in Dvd player. Do I need one without the built in player. Help

probably you need to change your input setting using the menu in your tv. use your remote control in finding that menu. good luck!

SOURCE: Video Input
Are you sure that the source is generating a video signal? It is extremely rare for both front and rear Video Input sockets to fail simultaneoisly. from your description, i would suspect the cable connecting the Viseo out of your DVD player / Video Game than the Video Input ports of the TV. If you have another cable, just try again with that. Or, try using the Red to red cable into the Yellow port, using one end at the DVD player and the other at the TV Video Input. If there is image, then it is confirmed that the cable is faulty, and you can get a replacement cable for a few bucks at any Video store.

You need to go get an RF modulator. They can be purchased at Radio Shack or a number of other electronic shoppes for a reasonable price.
The RF modulator connects to the coax cable connector and it has inputs for the RCA connectors.
Cheers ... Best wishes

You should be able to plug the Atari directly into the TV (If you have proper inputs available on your TV (you have not told us what make & model your TV is). BUT you can hook it up through your DVD/VCR if you want to. If you hook your Atari to your DVD/VCR you will have to power up the DVD/VCR whenever you want to play your games. The cool thing about running it through your DVD/VCR is that you can record toy game to prove to your friends what you have achieved.
