How to hook up a 7 band pioneer equalizer great 470 to a Kenwood kr-v6030 receiver

Connecting an Equalizer to a Receiver Before beginning, purchase RCA cables. In order to run the signal from a stereo receiver to the graphic equalizer and then on to the amplifier, two sets of RCA cables are needed. These are basic cables used to connect auxiliary components like record players and CD players. The length of the RCA cables should be about the same length as the distance between the receiver and equalizer.

1. Connect Graphic the Equalizer to the Receiver

The first step in this setup is to connect the graphic equalizer (EQ) to the receiver. Most receivers will have preamp-in and preamp-out connections. Some have tape monitor connections. It's preferable to connect the EQ to the preamp-in or preamp-out because the tape monitor won't allow for connection to the amplifier as well.

2. Connect the RCA Cables

The first set of RCA cables should connect the receiver and equalizer. Connect one pair to the preamp output channels and the other end to the left and right input channels on the EQ. These are on the back side of the equalizer. Usually, the colors will correspond to the RCA plugs. That means connect the red plug to the red jack and the white plug to the white jack. Then connect the second pair of RCA cables between the receiver and the amp. Match the colors in the same way.

3. Connect the Amp to the Receiver

Now the amp can be connected to the receiver via RCA cables in the amp inputs on the receiver. This will create a loop from the receiver through the EQ and amp and back to the receiver so that all three units are connected.

4. Test Graphic Equalizer

Turn on the receiver, amp and equalizer. Once they are powered up, try controlling the sound with the equalizer knobs. They should fine tune the music according to your preferences. It's easy to change the frequency response or tone of the music with the equalizer knobs.

Don't no how to hook it up ...

Instructions
Hook up an RCA patch cable
between the output of your car's
stereo receiver and the graphic
equalizer's RCA inputs. Use
stereo cables with male RCA
connectors.
Connect the equalizer's outputs
to the RCA inputs of your
amplifiers. How many cables you
need will depend upon the
number of amps in the system. In
most cases, you'll need two to
three to connect the equalizer to
the inputs of your amplifiers.
Hook up the equalizer to 12-volt
power. Use the same power
connections you used to connect
your amplifiers and receiver. The
equalizer's yellow wire should be
connected to a constant power
source, one that is not switched
off with the ignition, and the red
wire (not always present) to a
switched 12-volt power source.
Splice the wires by stripping the
insulation off the end of each
wire and then soldering or
crimping them together.
Connect the equalizer's blue
"turn-on" lead to the receiver's
blue wire. This turns the
equalizer on when the receiver is
powered up.

How do I hook up My ART Model 341 euilizer to my Harmon Cardon Receiver using RCA cables?

Outs to Ins using one of the unidentified HK's presumed Tape Loops. Be advised that any stereo analog device or processor in the Tape Loop will only affect a stereo signal and any digital source will be DISabled upon activating the loop. I imagine the HK manual may explain that.

I would to connect this receiver to my pc

Anything that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except PHONO). Get a cable like the one described here:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2

and connect it into any available analog input EXCEPT "Phono". Turn the PC

How do i connect my home theater system so that i may use the speakers to here my cabel channels

Hi,
How to connect your cable to your home theater system depends on several factors. So what I'll do is try to cover all of them.
If your home theater RECEIVER has various types of inputs then there will be several ways to do it.
If your cable box has various types of outputs there will also be several ways to do this.
Let's start with the basics.
All cable boxes that I have seen have Red colored and White colored (RCA type) stereo outputs. This also applies to any stereo or Home theater system which will have multiple inputs of the same type and color. If you connect a cable between the cable box's Stereo Outputs and into the cable (or satellite audio inputs of the Home Theater system. Then Switch the Home theater input to the same input, that will work.

If the cable box has an coaxial digital output ORANGE "RCA" TYPE PLUG) and the receiver has the same, connect a single RCA connector between the two. Then go into the input menu of the receiver and change that to digital as opposed to analog. (The red and white ones)

If the two pieces, Receiver and Cable box have optical connectors (little black square door with a red light behind it). Use that and set up the Receiver to receive a digital audio input.
With either the coaxial or optical connections used. You will have full surround sound when it is being broadcast.

Another possibility is that the receiver has discrete RCA input connectors for Left and Right Front, Center, Left and Right Rear and Sub Woofer. Again, if the cable box has these, have at it.

The last one is really simple.
If your equipment is relatively new there will be an HDMI connector on the back of the Receiver. If there is one on the cable box, which often there is for HD cable. Get a single HDMI cable and connect the two together.

I think that is all I know about the subject.
It might be a good idea to print this little article I wrote for you and use it as a reference while looking at the back sides of your home theater receiver and cable box.
I hope I've been a help to you. Please let me know.
Best Regards,
Mark

I need a hook up digram fof an optimus model 31-2025 stereo equalizer

http://support.radioshack.com/support_audio/doc48/48943.htm

Ten-Band Stereo Frequency
Equalizer (310-2025) Connections Faxback Doc. # 48943

Follow these steps to connect the equalizer to your audio system.

CAUTIONS: Use only shielded audio cable with RCA-type connectors (not
supplied). This type of cable is available at your local
RadioShack store.

Before you connect the equalizer, turn off all components in
your audio system and unplug their power cords.

Before you plug in the equalizer's power cord, complete all
connections and be sure the equalizer's POWER button is out.

1. To connect the equalizer to your receiver, connect the receiver's TAPE
OUT jacks to the equalizer's MAIN IN jacks.

Then, connect the equalizer's MAIN OUT jacks to your receiver's TAPE
IN or TAPE MONITOR jacks.

2. You can connect a tape deck to each set of tape jacks (TAPE 1 and TAPE
2) on the back of the equalizer.

To connect each tape deck, connect the equalizer's TAPE OUT jacks to
the tape deck's in jacks. Then, connect the tape deck's out jacks to
the equalizer's TAPE IN jacks.

3. Plug the equalizer's power cord into your receiver's switched power
outlet or any standard AC outlet.

WARNING: The equalizer's power cord has a polarized plug. To prevent
electric shock, do not use an extension cord or other
receptacle unless you can fully and easily insert the plug's
blades.

4. Connect the power cords of all other components.

I use the sg 540 equalizer for cd and tuner. (I have two of them) I also use the sa 940 to power my sound. On the tuner input of the amp, i used standerd rca cables and connected it to the output of the equalizer. then i connected rca cables from the input of the equalizer to the output of the tuner. this only works when the top equalizer button is pushed on. hope it works for you.
