a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

the crown is a screw down type to keep the watch water tight. Unscrew the crown (what you refer to as the dial) and you will then be able to set the date, time, etc. and be able to wind the watch manually. P.S. You unscrew the crown by rotating it counter-clockwise.

You have to pull out the stem all the way and turn clockwise until you get to the correct day. Hopefully you won't have to wind thru the whole week.

Alhamdulillah, the problem solved (at last) tks to IRONMAN
The steps are like this :
1. Pull the crown full, and turn it clockwise until you find the right day.
2. and then push it one click (dont push it to hard so it back to normal position) and turn the crown counter clockwise to adjust date.
3. Push the small button near the crown to adjust month.
and voila... the problem solved

In the time mode, press the upper right button for 2 seconds and the time display will flash. Then press the same button untill the entire time will flash, or both hour and minutes flash at same time. When the hour and minutes flash at same time, this adjust mode is the adjusting of the analog left display (A1). Now, press the lower button for adjusting de hour shown at the digital display that shows the same hour at analog display. This method is to adjusting the 8982 that is the "father" of 8988. Like a Citizen collector, and don´t know any website that you can view the setting instruction of 8988, only the 8982 is disposable here: http://www.citizenwatch.com/downloads/techguides/8982.pdf

The Mode button on the bottom left hand side will set your "SET" buttons to work.
The first push of your Mode button will activate your Stop Watch. Press the top right button to time your subject. Press it again to stop timing your subject.
Pressing the bottom right button will reset your Stop Watch to zero.
Press the Mode button to release your Stop Watch function and return to the Telling Time function.
Press the Mode button twice and you'll be able to set your Alarm function. Your Hour number will be flashing. Press the top right button to set your Alarm Hour. If you Alarm Hour is for the afternoon or evening continue pushing until a "P" appears by your hour number . This will be your afternoon/evening hour. If there is no "P" that, of course, will be your morning hour.
Press the bottom right button to adjust the minute number of your Alarm function. Your minute number will be flashing. Again, using the top right button, you'll be able to adjust your minute number.
(If you hold any number changing button for a long time, the numbers will flash through rapidly.)
Press the mode button to release your Alarm setting function.
Press the Mode button three times to set the Time of Day on your watch. At this point you'll also need to push the bottom left button to activate your Time of Day function. after pressing the bottom right button your minute number will start flashing. Press the top right button again to adjust your minute number. Once that's done, press the mode button to release your time of day function.
Hope this helps!

Setting the time on the PU910222003 Puma ladies watch.
The process may be less complicated than you would
First, a couple things you need to know and remember.
1. The watch has a
safety feature which requires you to press the touch button on the right side
of the watch before you can do anything as far as touching and changing
anything. If it did not, every time you
accidentally touched the dial something would change.
2. Touch means you
are touching the dial and the (stones or outer edge)
To change the time, day, date etc, on your watch you
must first press the touch button on the side.
The word touch will light up (display) inside the watch on the right
side of the dial.
Now you are ready to change stuff.
Touch the dial and the little what looks like bling at the
bottom of the watch. You need to be
touching the watch dial and these stones at the same time to do anything we are
about to do.
While touching and holding the bottom of the dial you may
see the back light turn on.
That is actually how you do that.
By continuing to touch and hold the bottom of the dial, you
will then see the word hold at the top and then the hour of the time
To increment the time or decrement the time, touch the right
side of the dial or the left side of the dial.
When you have arrived at the current hour, touch the hour at the top
again and the minutes will begin to flash.
Continue to set all settings in this manner until you are
satisfied. Touching the top to move to
the next setting and right or left of dial to go up or down.
When you are done.
Touch the bottom of the dial to exit this setting mode.
Day to day use,
Touch the time at the top of the dial to scroll through the
time, chrono, alarm etc. To see time if the screen saver is on, touch the left
side of the dial. Touching this
repeatedly will also scroll through all the phrases programmed into the watch.
While touching and holding the bottom of the dial you will
see the back light turn on.
This watch actually has two displayable times you can use if
you travel often to a second time zone.
Press the touch button on the side and touch the right side of the
dial. Touching it for a second or two
will display the time of the second time zone.
Touching and holding for a couple more seconds will cause the T2 on the
display of the left side of the watch to flash and eventually switch to the
second time. I am thinking that touching
the bottom of the watch while displaying the second time should allow you to
set this time also.
