Chances are, if it has not been used in over a year, the battery would need to be replaced. You may be able to recharge, but more than likely the battery will not hold the charge long, if at all.

If you replace the battery and its still not working you may need service. Your controller could be shot. Console could be blown from damaged wiring etc. Basically you need to verify your wiring harness as good and your controller as good. If both are good and the battery is holding at 6.3v replace your console.

HAVE LOADED CD, PRESS PLAY BUT GET ONLY A WHIRRING NOISE THEN Er WITH BATTERY ICON ON DISPLAY BUTTON - HOW DO I GET THE CD TO PLAY?

Normally a battery icon on a display indicates that the battery power is too low to operate the device. If the device uses disposable batteries, it's time to replace them with fresh ones. If it uses rechargeable batteries, recharge them. If recharging the batteries fails to work, they may have reached their useful lifetime and need to be replaced as well. If the unit has a internal battery that is chargeable, and charging fails to work, you may need to have the unit serviced to replace the internal battery(ies) or just get a new unit, depending on the cost-effectiveness of repairs.

Battery failure

I know this is almost a year old, but why can't you access the batteries? How have you been using the headphones without either recharging or simple using regular batteries? The batteries that came with the unit are not proprietary and any pair of AA batteries will work. I haven't used the Sony batteries that came with the headphone for years, won't recharge anymore. I have been using Sanyo eneloop AA rechargeable batteries ever since and keep a fresh pair of batteries recharged at all times. And it seems like they go on for ever, but the time between replacing the batteries is about once a month.

If it is solar powered and hasn't been used in some time, the battery may have died, permanently. If there is no battery to replace then it is broken forever. Sorry. When batteries are left without juice for a long period of time they die, and cannot be recharged.

Purchased this timer (Woods Digital Timer Cat. No. 59203) this time last year to run my Christmas decorations. It work like a charm. Now setting up decorations this year and nothing shows on the display...

If this is not your timer, add a comment or look through Woods page
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html

Most of the plug-in digital-programmable timers have rechargeable battery.
Some have a AAA battery that is replaceable, but most do not.
59203 has rechargeable battery.
Battery is not replaceable.

Plug timer into wall for 1/2-1 hour.
If display does not show, then battery did not recharge.
Either timer is broken or wall outlet does not have electricity

My battery is 2 year's old and is now only lasting 30 minutes after fully re-charging.

Two years is actually pretty good for a rechargeable battery in regular/constant use.
Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries have around 500 recharge cycles and then will loose capacity very quickly as for your unit.

This internal Li-Ion battery will now need to be replaced.

Hope it helps.

My battery is dead & some of pixels are damaged (not dead)

You need a new battery. Rechargable batteries eventually die and need to be replaced. The best way to make your battery last is to let it run all the way down each time before recharging.

As for the display, this sounds like a serious problem with the screen. How long the screen will last is impossible to guess - it might keep working the way it is for a few years, or it might die within months.

If your laptop is under warranty, send it to HP for repairs. If not, you should find out how much it will cost to repair before sending it in. If you want to buy a battery and take your chances on the screen lasting, I would suggest buying a used battery through eBay (or another source) rather than spending full price, just in case the laptop dies.

If you decide to keep the laptop and get a used battery, I suggest backing up important files regularly.

Printer will not charge camera batteries. camera screen said to go on line and look for m627-435

Did you go online and look up this troubleshooting tip from HP?  Did you make sure the batteries are rechargeable and in the correct orientation ( + and - )? Here is the results from looking up the error code M627-435 at the HP website:
Solution
  1. Ensure that the batteries are rechargeable. If the batteries are not rechargeable, replace them with rechargeable batteries.
  2. If the batteries are rechargeable, take them out and check for obvious physical damage. If the batteries are damaged, replace the batteries with rechargeable batteries in good physical condition.
  3. If the batteries are in good condition, charge the batteries using the external charger that shipped with the camera before using them in the camera for the first time.
  4. If you have tried each of the steps above and the status message still displays when you try to charge the batteries, replace the batteries.
Cause The Batteries cannot be charged status message is usually caused by one of the following:
  • When first connected to an optional HP AC power adapter or placed on an optional dock, the camera performs a test to determine if the batteries are rechargeable. If the test determines that the batteries are non-rechargeable, an status message displays in the LCD.
  • If the battery charge falls below 1.1 volts, the camera cannot detect that the batteries are rechargeable. The camera does not charge batteries below a 1.1-volt threshold to prevent charging non-rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries discharged below 1.1 volts can be charged in an external charger.
Apparently, your batteries are either seriously discharged where you need to use an external AC charger to recharge the batteries or their damagaed and need replacing. Hope this helps.
