Question about Bowflex Treadclimber

Open Question

Treadles won't go up and down

While turned on and standing on the treadles they will not go up and down. IT is like they are stuck. The latch is down as indicated in manual for treadclimbing not tread walking mode.

Sounds like the hydraulic cylinders are bad. Try replacing them and should fix the problem.

SOURCE: I have bowflex treadclimber tc5000,

This is a common issue caused by a frequent assembly problem, made worse by the tools sent along with the TC for
assembly. To fix it, you need the following:

1. A GOOD 5/8" wrench (not the piece of junk that came with the TC).
2. A Phillips screwdriver at least 3" long.
3. Two books at least 1" thick.
4. One book about 3/8": thick, or two magazines
5. A vacuum cleaner with a hose.
6. The Treadclimber Manual. If you don't have it, get it online at the company's web-site.

Lock the treadles (see manual) such that the TC is just a treadmill.

Turn off the TC, unplug it, and remove the power cord.

Leaning the TC first left, then right, put the 1" books about 2/3 of the way towards the back under each side. This will left the rear of the machine slightly off the ground, making the following steps much easier.

Now use the Phillips screwdriver to remove three screws on each of the two rear-most plastic covers at the base of the machine. Remove the covers. Put the screws in the covers so you don't lose them. Note that the top screw is recessed deeply into a hole in the cover!

Removing the side covers has exposed 4 more Phillips screws that hold the back plastic cover in place. Remove them, and the cover will slip off (thanks to those two big books).

Everything is dusty dirty. Use the vacuum cleaner to clean it up. You'll thank me later when you don't sneeze your brains out.

Now, behind where the back plastic cover was, and across the back of the machine, are four big bolt-heads. These are the bolts that hold the tread assembly to the base of the machine. They're probably loose. If they're not loose already, use that wrench to loosen them a bit. Either way, things are out of whack.

Go around to the front of the machine. Use the small book or the magazines to wedge the right treadle away from the upright such that the treadles are evenly spaced between the two. Don't over-do it and reverse the problem! (This is a lot easier than yelling at your spouse or significant other to "hold it, hold it" while you complete the next step.) What you want is the two treadles nicely spaced between the front uprights. Trust me, the right treadle will hold that spacer.

Go back to the rear of the machine. Using the 5/8" wrench, tighten the four bolds VERY tight. Use some muscle. The fact that they were loose was the cause of the issue.

Now go to the front. Pull out the book/magazines that you were using as a spacer between the right treadle and the upright. Do the treadles look like they're now evenly spaced between the uprights? If so, pat yourself on the back. If not, then loosen the bolts and try again, adjusting the thickness of the front "spacer" as needed.

Put the rear cover back on. Don't over-do the tightness of the screws on this (or the other) cover(s)!

Put the left and right covers back on. Take care with these, they're a bit delicate, especially the top screws. If the little rubber posts fall out of the top screws, finesse them back in.

Don't forget to re-calibrate the machine (per that manual) after you finish.

You'll now discover in most cases that a lot of issues with uneven action are now cured. Any rub marks on the right upright can be removed with the same silicone spray that is recommended for the belts.

Exterior door stuck closed manually retract ****** remove knobs KWIKSET

You will probably need to replace the latch assembly. There is a small rivet that holds part of the latch together, and it also acts as a pivot point for a small piece that retracts the latch. If it gets bent, the latch won't retract fully, but you might be able to push it back and get the door open.

TC20 treadles will not move after we disconnected pistons and then moved unit when we tried to reconnect pistons one treadles is too far down to comnect and will not move

The treadles can sort of overlap and one gets stuck on the other. Try to carefully grab the front of the one that is higher and pull it away from the other treadle, then it should be able to be lowered. If you have a second person they could pull the lower treadle in the opposite direction. Be careful not to pinch your fingers!

Treadclimber centering

Dear Sir:
ecalibrate the machine if speed is not registering, belts stop turning or the display readout shows an "err, LS, OS" on the face. Calibrate the TreadClimber by plugging it in. Stand on the foot platforms, or floor mat. Do not stand on the walking belt. Insert the safety key. Press the "start" key when "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows on the readout. If readout fails to show the "CAL/PRSS/STRT" symbol, turn off machine and turn it back on. Press "ENTER" and then "DOWN SPEED" at the same time until "CAL/PRSS/STRT" shows up on the display. Belts will start and stop during the calibration; do not be alarmed. Do not make any adjustments or interrupt the display of numbers as the unit goes through the calibrations. When the machine is finished calibrating, the readout will display "CAL...PASS" and you can press the "POWER" key to get out of the calibration section.

sincerely. God bless you.

try pushing down first and holding it down while turning the latch. If it opens then spray it with some WD 40. If you can't push down hard enough then get one of you cute little curtain climbers to stand or even jump on it while you turn the knob. I hope i/m the winner. Picture me smiling with a big grin on my face. LOL I won I won. I helped someone. Keep me happy and let me know if I did. Good Luck, Raz

What does dE flashing on the LG intellowasher WD1050FHB mean?

It is an indication of door error. The door is either not shutting, locking or opening.
  1. Turn off the unit and unplug it for 5 minutes then replug and turn it on. If the problem persists, proceed below.
  2. Check the door latch
  3. Check if there is something that is caught in the door and prevent it to shut properly.Remove any stuck items that might push the door latch up or down during operation.
  4. Check if the door or gasket is damaged. Damaged door or gasket will prevent the door from latching or locking properly. Replace damaged gasket. Dis-aligned door prevents the door latch to lock properly.
  5. Check the door latch for any damage. Replace if defective.
