Heard a pop then no picture. Self-Diagnosis issues 4 flashes but have no idea what that means.
Sounds like a problem with the lamp, but there is no mention of a lamp in the Operating manual.

there is no lamp, it's a crt type rear projection. i seem to recall 4 flash
blink code is horizontal stop, I'm not sure. Might be your horizontal output has blown, the pop you heard. Would begin at that circuit. Use only original replacement part, no sub. can use 2sd5142 for the horizontal output.
