Dryer won't heat

check heater element. could just be a loose wire/connection. or element needs replacing

It is most likely the thermal fuse watch this video your unit is made by whirlpool and these are very common to fail http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajDWK7x1J5Q

This is the most common locations for thermal fuses and heating element on Whirlpool,Kenmore,Estate dryers. Check these fuses for continuity and replace the one that does not have continuity

Kenmore dryers have what we call a thermo fuse, usually on top on the burner area - I would check continuity on this unit and replace if nesessary.
If the thermo fuse is okay and dryer heats up with gas, check your igniter and/or gas unit coils.
If dryer heats up with electric elements check continuity at both element ends and/or high limit thermostat.
