The easiest way to remove a fuel pump off a camaro

Hello,

Drive the rear of the Camaro onto a set of ramps and secure the parking brake. If the Camaro no longer runs due to the fuel pump, place the rear end of the vehicle onto jack stands.

Use a socket and ratchet to disconnect the negative battery cable from the negative battery terminal. This removes power from the electric fuel pump.

Place a jack under the gas tank and raise the jack so it butts up against the tank. This applies pressure to the tank and prevents it from falling while you remove the retaining bolts for the tank straps.

Use a socket and ratchet to remove the retaining bolt from each of the two straps located closest to the rear of the vehicle. These are the rear strap bolts. Pull the straps down.

Lower the jack to lower the tank from the vehicle. Because you left the front of the straps attached, the tank rests at an angle under the vehicle. This prevents the need to unhook all of the hoses connected to the tank.

Place the cam tool (J-24187) onto the retaining cam on the top of the tank and turn it a quarter turn counterclockwise. Take the sending unit cam off the tank.

Disconnect the fuel pump from the sending unit cam and plug the new pump into the sending unit.

Place the fuel sending unit cam onto the tank and turn it clockwise a quarter turn with the specialized tool.

Use the straps, bolts, socket and ratchet to jack the tank back up under the Camaro and secure it.

Use the socket and ratchet to reconnect the negative battery cable to the negative battery terminal.

I hope the above helps.

Good luck.

Engine strap and wheels STARLET 98

By engine strap do you mean Cam belt? Which should be done every 100000kms or 60000miles tyres should be replaced when the tread gets below 3mm deep ( depending on your country's regulations ).
Try abebooks.com for the manual.
Hope this helps.

When do you need to change the cam strap

If by cam strap you mean the Timing Belt. This belt is usually replaced every 60-100K depending on the manufacturer. Check your owners manual or call your local dealer to find out what the interval is exactly on your car. If you have a timing Chain, then the interval is usually much longer.

I have a Milwaukee sawzall 6509-22 with a quick loc cam. Blade went in fine, but now the saw wont release the blade to come out. How do I fix this problem. Note: locking cam is turning fine

K you used the saw after inserting blade?? If so couple ideas, hold collar open and put saw blade in a vise and try pulling back on saw, or you can remove the quik lok cam and release it that way, its not that hard, but I would try vise first. Let me know
