When baking when oven gets to temperature, and you open the door to put food in The grill comes on and burns everything. I use the middle of the oven, but it still happens. Any suggestions.

Not sure how your oven works, but older ones had a "pre-heat" setting that you would use to get the oven to temp. This ran both the upper (broiler/grill) and lower elements at the same time to raise the heat quickly to temp. Once the oven is pre-heated, you would switch the selector to "bake" and that would only allow the lower element to work after that. If you failed to remove it from "pre-heat", it would use both and burn the food. Just saying.

My hotpoint oven is burning everything so need to know what to replace

If your oven is burning everything, it is getting too hot. Therefore the heater is working but the thing that measures the temperature is not. This is called the thermostat and there will be two types, one for each oven.
Google search for Hotpoint UY46 thermostat, there are plenty of suppliers. Make sure you get the correct one for the oven that is burning.
They are about 20-30 pounds to buy and generally easy to change. Just make sure the power is turned off before working on the oven and be careful of sharp edges as it is easy to get cut when removing panels.

Good luck.

The heating element becomes red hot,but the food doesn't appear to cook in an appropriate time os fashion. Any answers or suggestions

The top of whatever food you're cooking should be in the center of the oven for the most effective cooking. Do you have the oven set on bake or broil? Broil is a direct heat method and if the food is on the lower shelf and the oven is set on broil, the food is not getting enough heat to cook it properly. Baking heats the lower element and the heat rises to surround the food. Broiling heats the top element and since heat rises, it is not getting down to the food to surround it and cook it.

My hotpoint ew61 double oven doesnt come up to

If it is heating, but not getting hot enough, then it is possible the thermostat is cutting the element off too soon, in this event, you will need to replace the thermostat.
If it is not heating at all , then the element is probably faulty.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Oven is burning food and seems too hot

HI. the oven temp sensor is malfunctioning. have it inspected for damage. check the wires leading from the control to the sensor for cuts and damage as well. replace the sensor if these issues with heating persist.

Kenmore oven lower element sporadically heating.

When the food you're baking is done on top but not on the bottom--or when baking just takes far too long to finish--the bake element may be burned out.

You may get fooled into thinking it's working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor baking results.

If the bake element is burned out, replacing it should solve the problem. Otherwise, you need to further troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire or component.

Fixing thermostat on oIder Hotpoint Double Oven

Hello, there is no fixing the thermostat although some of the older thermostats could be calibrated by using a very small flat head screwdriver in the shaft of the thermostat if there is no opening for a tiny screwdriver in the shaft then it cannot be calibrated. If you have to change the thermostat contact your local parts department have the model # handy if the original is not available ask about universal oven control replacement parts. Good Luck
