How can I repair my Beats Mixr headphone in which one of the ear is not working ?

Presumably this is a wiring problem, for one of two reasons. If you look at the RCA plug that you use to hook into your stereo, you will see two black bands on it - one band for each signal - left or right. If there isn't a good connection, often you won't get sound in both earpieces. First try inserting the plug into your equipment part way, or rotating it carefully, to see if you can get both ears working. If that doesn't work, then the problem is either the wire for whatever ear is not working, not being connected properly at the RCA plug itself, or at the ear in question. You can unscrew the plastic cover on the RCA plug to see the wiring connection. But if the connection is bad at the actual earpiece, I would suggest returning the headphones, rather than taking them apart. Good luck.

No sound from speaker but through ear piece I get sound.

Many devices will automatically switch off the large speaker when ear phones are plugged into them. Also there may be a switch or button or prompt on your radio to switch between regular speaker and ear phone jack. Look for that first.
Try connecting and disconnection ear phones while listening to a station and see if the problem is intermittent. If is works sometimes but not every time then it is most likely an internal connection.
You will have to access the inside of the radio to investigate further. Connect a working external music or sound source with speaker wire to the terminals inside the radio that connect to the radio's speaker. If the radio's speaker works with the external sound source then you know it is a bad connection inside your radio. If the radio's speaker does not work with the external sound source then it is most likely a faulty radio speaker. Look closely for a broken solder point or broken/disconnected wire.

Hi

Pin arrangement for Front panel Audio is usually:

Pin 1 Left MIC-IN Pin 1 right GROUND
Pin 2 Left MIC VVC (or MIC Power, or MIC BIAS) Pin 2 Right empty
Pin 3 Left R EAR (or R OUT) Pin 3 Right R RETURN
Pin 4 Ground or Empty Pin 4 Right empty
Pin 5 Left L EAR (or L OUT) Pin 5 Right L RETURN

This arrangement should apply to both the HD AA/FP or the Standard AC'97 Headers.

I hope this helps

When I plug in in my plantronics 367 closed ear gaming headset all I hear is the sound I cant get the mic working

This is a plug-n-play headset, so no special software is necessary for it to work properly. You want to make sure the leads are plugged into the right jacks on the computer and that the jacks are live.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

It only works on on ear.

You may a poor mating of the jack and the plug. This could be an issue of size and shape or a bit of dirt or something making it not seat properly in the radio. A damaged wire would be also be a suspect; your hand would give a bit of conductivity around a break.

First, I'd check the audio device paperwork for the specs on the jack and make sure you have the right plug and try cleaning any dirt off/out of the jack. Since the Bose headphones do not have a swappable cord (at least the ones I have don't), if you suspect a broken cord, check if your unit is under warranty. If the headphones are out of warranty, you could consider opening up the unit and soldering in a new cord.

I hope this helps.

(the Bose headphones in my house came with a number of adapters. it was easy to pick up the wrong one at times once they got mixed up.)

I cant hear from my earplugs ....

Helllo,
There is probably a problem from your ear plugs if it works on the system. Probably the cord is cut or the connection in the earplugs is bad. would recommend getting a new one.

cheers

The sound comes and goes from right part of headset

The left/right problem could be a bad connection on the red/white XBOX cables. Check to see that they're plugged in properly and not loose. You can also try plugging an MP3 player into the red/white jacks to see if the problem is with the headset or the XBOX. If it works ok with your MP3 player, then the headset is working fine.

You can get a new headset controller cable on our web site. Click on Replacement Parts in the left menu for the headset model you own (X1, X3, or X4).

Ear phone not working

If it is not your headphones then try checking the connections. Remove the back and check the connections to the audio socket. They may need re-soldering to the main circuit board.

Hope this helps,
