Greenstreet Power Publisher 4 installed but Powertext won't won't work with Windows 7.

Message when clicking on the link from the DTP programme says Powertext is not installed on my computer. When clicking on the PowerText.exe icon the message is programme won't start because d3drm.dll is not installed. Is there any way to get the complete package to work with Windows 7.

SOURCE: Windows Startup Error csrss.exe

Okay, we are going to try two things. If the first don't work go to the second.

1) First perform a search on your computer for the 'csrss.exe' file. If found, copy it and then paste it into your C:\windows\system32 folder.
That should do it.

2) If that don't do it or your search can't find it, then perform the following;

To scan and verify the versions of all the system files that Windows File Protection protects, use the System File Checker (Sfc.exe) tool together with the /scannow parameter. If the SFC.exe tool detects that such a file was overwritten, the SFC.exe tool retrieves the correct version of the file from the Dllcache folder or from the Windows installation source files, and then replaces the incorrect file.

To run SFC, please follow these steps:

1. Click on Start > Run command prompt
2. Type SFC /scannow, and then press ENTER

Note: You may be asked for inset OS CD.

3. After finishing SFC, you may run CHKDSK C: /R in the Run command prompt as well.

SOURCE: windows explorer issues

uninstall PowerDesk or My PowerDesk. Some malware camouflage themselves as PDShExt.dll, particularly if they are located in c:\windows or c:\windows\system32 folder. Thus check the PDShExt.dll process on your pc whether it is a pest or the real deal. If neither program list above is installed, download http://www.neuber.com/taskmanager/index.html?ref=file.net as run the program.

Use the following steps to let Windows do the installation for you.

Step 1: Use an Ethernet cable and plug your computer directly to your Internet gateway. Make sure Internet is accessible.

Step 2: Place your new adapter in the proper slot or port.

Step 3: With your computer running, a bubble message will appear stating that this device was not installed successfully. Left click on the message.
But if the message no longer appears, skip to Device Manager Installation.
Step 4: On driver installation failure, you can change the setting to use Windows Update by clicking Change setting...
Step 5: Chose to allow Windows to update your driver when it is not found on you computer.
Step 6: Once the driver installs successfully, close the window.

Step 7: Click/Right Click on the Network Icon located on the system tray to View the Available Wireless Networks. Find your personal Network and double click to connect. It should request for a wireless key, which by now should have been set up.

We have hp scanjet 2200c, but we have not driver for windows 7, Please help for use to hp scanjet 2200c for windows 7

Hi there!
If memory serves me right, this printer came out when Windows 98 is still the latest version of Operating System from Microsoft. According to HP's website, they didn't release a driver compatible with Windows Vista so it is unlikely that they released a compatible driver for Windows 7.
You can try the following steps to install the driver (but I don't guarantee that it will work 100%)
  1. Download the driver from HP website.
  2. Right-click on the file that you downloaded (file name is sj646en.exe). choose properties then click on compatibility tab.
  3. Check the box next to Run this program in compatibility mode for: and then select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) from the drop-down menu. ClickOK.
  4. install the application (you might get a message that the publisher could not be verified, just click OK on that).
  5. Finish the installation.
Hope this helps.

Unable to use Micrografx Picture Publisher 10.0 with Win 7

Make sure that Micrografx Picture Publisher 10 pro installs into the X66 Program files folder.By default it will always install into the 64 bit program file if you have a 64bit installed.
If you have the 32 bit Windows 7 installed then right click with your mouse on the program before opening it up and select compatibility mode.Select XP SP3 compatibility mode. This works fine on my Windows 7 32bit. Use the first paragraph method if you have the 64bit Windows 7.

Hi, I've just installed Microsoft Office Publisher 2010 on my PC (Vista Basic). It works fine and everything. However the saved publisher files have icons like blank pages and won't open automatically...

Hello:
You can manually locate Microsoft Publisher when going to the "open with" dialog. Follow the steps below:
  1. Right click on a Publisher file.
  2. Choose "Open With..."
  3. Choose "Choose Default Program..."
  4. A dialog box will open. There is a list of programs at the top.
  5. Near the bottom of the dialog box, there should be a link that says "Browse..." Click it.
  6. You need to locate the Microsoft Publisher Program. For Office 2010, it should be at:
x86: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe
x64: C:\Program FIles (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office 14\MSPUB.exe
7. Click once on the file and choose "Open" 8. Check the box called "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" 9. Confirm your selections and click "OK" at the bottom of the dialog box.

Stop:0x000000A5 (0x0001000A, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

"Stop: 0x000000A5" error message typically indicates that the computer BIOS is incompatible with the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) standard that is supported in Windows 7. However, this error can also occur because the computer hardware, the peripherals, or the drivers for those devices are incompatible with Windows 7.

Startup Repair from the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE)
