Water Leaking from Lid

After the load has conpleted . When you open the lid to remove the clothes , Rusty water leaks from the lid around the lower corners into the tub sometimes on the clothes . HELP

I removed the lid and ground and sanded away the rust that that formed on the edges of the steel lid, primed the bare metal surfaces with red oxide steel primer and repainted with white enamel. It lasted about 6 months and now needs done again. The problem is with the poor quality of the porcelain finish on the under side of the lid. You could buy a new lid ($100.00 plus) or junk the washer.

Sound like some water or detergent is being directed up instead of down into the tub and eventually leaks out when you open the lid. You need to check, maybe using the Service Program, to see how it fills and how the detergent comes out.

Another possibility is condensation that could be forming on the inside of the lid, especially during cold water cycles or rinses.

Kenmore 26842 Is leaking slightly. Small amount of water runs out from bottom of washer. What are the likely causes, how do I check, and what do I look for?

remove the two phillips screws holding down the top console, one on each side,if there is plastic covers on the end of the console remove the caps and then remove the screws.when you have the screws out flip up the console and with a screw driver pop the two clips and disconnect the lid switch harness closest to the right side clip, open the lid, grab the frame, tilt it forwards and pull back to remove the frame.now you can run it and see where the water is leaking from,if the washer doesn't run get a piece of wire, cut off the insulation off of the two ends and cut the wire around three inches, get the harness where the lid switch was plugged into, stick the jumper wire into the outside holes of the harness and the washer will run,the lid switch is just a safety, the manufacturer doesn't want the washer to run with the lid open so just jump out the lid switch, the middle hole is green and is the ground, just stick the jumper wire into the other two holes and the washer will run, check the pump and check to see if the tub seals are leaking,if the seals are leaking you'll see black dots one third of the way up from the bottom on all sides of the frame and the water will leak from the middle of the tub where the tranny. goes up into the tub, next time send the full model number,it will start with 110. or similar, also check all the hoses.let me know what you find.

3 problems: 1. lower drawer is hard to close; seems to be sticking on something. 2. lower drawer retains water (2 inches) after completing a cycle. 3. F1 fault code on both drawers with alert...

ok where to start, first thing the bottom draw is hard to close because they use 2 little motors on either side to pull a lid with a seal on it down on top of each draw when u start it to keep the water in, if its hard to close the motors are damaged and arnt lifting the lid back up when the cycle finishes making it hard to open and shut, now the F1 fault means the filter circuit board in the base of the machine has been activated basically a flood sensor (and controls minor components ie lid actuators), the unit should beep and flash and go spaztic and you should hear the drain pump come on continuously til u turn it off at the wall thats its way of trying to stop a leak by removing any water it can but will not actually remove the water from the base where the switch is, you will probably find it will work now as the water will have dried and stopped triggering the switch but wont stay like that for long, that machine has major issues its leaking bad from somewhere and id say it leaked onto the lid motors and fried em, the parts you will most probably have to replace is the filter board in the base, both bottom draw lid actuators (small motors), probably the bottom draw lid if you damaged the seal pulling the draw in and out and whatever is leaking and if any other componets where damaged by water, so if its outta warranty id go buy a new 1 with 5 year extended warranty

Leaking water from bottom draw

To put machine into test mode: Press and hold keylock, then press and hold start button. Hold both in until machine beeps (if you have display, it will show all symbols). Press power button- display should now show HO. Press start button until LD shows in display- this tests lid motors. Activate lid motors by pressing keylock button- if you open drawer about 3 inches, you should see lid come down. Pressing keylock again will raise lid. Raise and lower lid several times by pressing keylock button to ensure lid is working properly- if not, lid motors need replacing. Good luck!!

Water leaking (a lot) from underneath washer

WATER IS NOT GOING INTO THE TUB, INSTEAD GOING OUT. GET A PAINT SCRAPER N PRY THE LID OPEN TO MAKE SURE THE TUB IS IN PLACE WHEN YOU MOVED IT. THERE'S TWO CLIPS BETWEEN THE LID PANEL AND THE MACHINE. PUSH IN HARD AND IT RELEASE THE LID PANEL. FROM THERE YOU WILL SEE THE TUB AND ALL THE WATER DISPENSING UNITS. IT COULD ALSO BE A RIP IN ONE OF THE HOSE WHEN YOU MOVED THE MACHINE. GOOD LUCK

Water is leaking into the trunk of my 2005 Honda accord whenever it rains

My 1990 Honda Accord does this too.
When I wash it or when it rains. If I open the trunk/deck lid water flows out of the right rear tail light housing into the trunk.

Solution: get some rubber gasket sealant and apply under the lower gasket around the rear window on each side at the corners. Allow for drying time. Close the trunk and try some water if this doesn't work you will likely have to replace the rear window seal.

Best of luck.

Kenmore 44024 is leaking water apparently from the tumbler not any of the water sources or drains.

Open the lower kick panel and inspect for the source of the leak. If you feel water or see rusty or soapy residue around the tub bolts that hold the tub halves together, remove the cabinet top and tighten all the bolts around the tub. The bolts should be snug when tightening. If the bolts are ok, feel all around the outside of the tub for holes or cracks.
Good luck!

Frigidare front load washing macine leaks water

Sounds like the dispenser is leaking somehow, there is no filter that would cause it to leak. Remove lid of washer by screws on back lip and inspect during fill to see where leak is.
