The USB device internal directory structure goes corrupted and you'll need to format it to make it working again. On the disk management window, right click on the problem USB and choose to format.
Be clear that formatting will erase each and everything on it and the data might become unrecoverable. Though, you can try some professional utility like Stellar Phoenix Partition Recovery (http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm) and see if it might able to recover 100% of all the stored data.
Good luck though!!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The drive was damaged during the interuption. This has happened to alot of my flash drives and there is not way to fix it. You can, however, replace the hard drive in the case. Open the case and you will see a small laptop hard drive (that's all it is), purchase a new replacement and throw it in there.
