Fuel problem When driving my Toyata Hilux bakkie - 2003 2lt model, it seems like the fuel is cut. The bakkie don`t start, I need to suck on die pipe from the fuel pump then only will the bakkie start. I did replace the fuel pump but the problem continue. I also check for a airlock at the pertol cap, but no luck!!

Why wouldnt the bakkie start when the engine is warm.

This slang term "Bakkie" seems to be used for many things. what system or function is it called by the manufacturer?
Truck? engine? vehicle?
OBD II code P2136 is for throttle sensor.
Similar codes are P2135, p2137, the pinpoint tests are available on google (make, model, year, engine. then code and symptom) ( use P2135) that takes you to OBD code website with explanation, pictures, tests and directions for TPS or throttlesensor.
when an engine dies warm, the spark needs to be verified.
see if it has lost spark, disassembly and tools required.
Electronic parts are sometimes temperature sensitive when they are failed................ y'kno, the dizzy whizbang gizzmachi quit zappin. but after it cools, it starts. Fuel or gas related problems have numerous tests, not just pressure. run them all if the spark is present but it still wont start, during the no start is when the tests need to be performed.

I drive a Nissan 1400 bakkie (not a champ) i drives good and then starts jerking and wants to die as soon i i give petrol it sounds like its smothering

hi, personally ..i love that bakkie. Ok you changed points condensor, petrol filter! please check.. When it cuts out 1. if the ignition coil is not hot, if so thats your problem.2. also on the carb... over the needle and seat there is a tiny filter... somtimes gets blocked. 3. also check when it stolls if the fuel pump is not hot or pull the outlet fuel from the pump
and crank the engine... note if fuel comes out sufficiently.

98 opel corsa 1.4 bakkie fuel consumption is high and cuts out

Sounds like a fuel pressure regulator problem. Pull a spark plug and see if it is black on the end.

Hi, Our ISUZU 280 KB doesn't get diesel through..if you start the bakkie it initially starts but the engine quickly dies even if you floor the accellerator. If you press the "manual diesel pump"

Blockclogs easily if you get some water in the diesel.age in fuel system. Remove both pipes from tank to pump and blow. If clogged replace. Also check fuel filter. That thing

Having what i assume is a fuel system problem. I've replace the fuel filter, fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel relay all with brand new parts, but the car will either not start or die while i'm driving...

Once the car has died, open the fuel cap. If you hear a sound like air being sucked into the tank though the filler pipe, you may have a blocked breather pipe on the tank. Safest bet would be to locate the pipe and remove whatever the restriction is. Easiest would be to drill a 1mm hole as close as possible to the top of the filler pipe, although it is not recommended due to fuel/vapour release.
