My bjc 1000 canon printer has a probem with the paper feed ? as the printer engaged to feed the paper the paper move to the right hand side and then gets screwed up .thanks

This is very simple. Pull out the screwed up paper back out very slowly. Look at its leading edge for an indent. Lay the paper back on the feeder. Now the indent will line up with the foreign object that has fallen into the printer. It may be a paper clip, staple or pin from a cork board behind the printer on the wall. Unfold a large paperclip and use this as a tool to retrieve the object. Always works.

Brother MFC 9840CDW When printing using paper from the paper tray, the printer will pull the paper up off the stack of paper from the paper tray but drops it at that point and will not feed it in to the...

Pull the paper out and look at the leading edge. If there is an indent in it then it is hitting an obstruction. remove the cassette and see if you can see anything it may be hitting. If there is no indent then the rollers are not gripping. You should not use alcohol on any rollers. Just use soapy water. Fairy liquid is great for cleaning rollers.

I just want to install a new cartridge.

the grey tray located above the paper tray and below the scanner platform (has an indent in it) is where the cartridges are replaced at. When you pull it down (with power on and connected) the cartridges will move to the center of that opening. There will be an indented "button" that you press to release the cartridge. After you take it out, remove the film from the new cartridge and install it in the same way (number side up)

The letters are not showing up on the paper

Make sure your printwheel is installed with the letter indentations facing the paper, and make sure the ribbon is placed between the printwheel and the paper. Also, check your ribbon to make sure it has not dried out.

Hope this helps!

Paper will not feed, some large spring is loose and don't know where it goes

Okay, I figured it out - if you unhinge the paper tray holder and you look at the bottom of it there is a little circular indentation that is where one part of the spring goes. I surperglued it that. Then if you look inside the paper holder you will see another circular type indent that has a tiny little plastic latch at the top of it - it will match up with the one on the paper try holder. I put the superglued spring into the printer and shoved it down with the handle of a comb and a long kitchen knife.

Hope that helps!
