The tuner in the RCA has poor sensitivity. Radio Shack sells a inline amplifier that may help, make sure you can return it if it doesn't. Move the antenna outside if possible and as high as possible, that may help. Good Luck!

My vizio is set on avor antenna I have a HD antenna but TV won't pick up my favorite network stations wtva om nbc or abc

re-orient your antenna , the more the higher the better signal reception you will receive. and check your neighbor tv reception if they are facing the same problem with your tv , the problem isnt with your tv, its the tv network sometimes failed.

What channel is nbc on vizio

The Brand of TV does NOT Change what order the channels are in. Channels are on the same channel no matter what brand tv you have. Look online for Tv with your zip code after it this will get you all your channels in your area. Or ask your cable provider for a channel list.

Cannot get NBC on my channel master

Your signal strenght is too weak either try moving the antenna to a different location. If that doesn't work then you may need an outside antenna. The link below will tell you what stations are available at your address and what type of antenna is necessary.. TV Fool

How to hook up convertor to analog tv

It would really help to know what brand of converter (set top box) you are installing but I can provide some general information. Be sure to connect everything before applying power. On the rear of the box, you have two types of connectors. If your RCA TV is old, you can connect a cable from the ANTENNA OUT F connector to the antenna F connector on the rear of the TV. Connect an antenna to the ANTENNA IN F connector on the rear of the box. Set the box to send output to channel 3 or 4, whichever is not used in your area. Apply power to the TV and the box and tune the TV to the channel (3 or 4) you selected on the box. If your RCA TV is new enough to have inputs for left and right audio and video, you can connect a 3-conductor RCA cable between the appropriate outputs of the box and the corresponding inputs on your TV. The picture quality will be better the second way. Once you are up and running you can use the channel search feature of the remote for the box to locate HD channels

I have a Vizio 47 inch LCD HDTV hooked to a Dish system. The volume fluctuates from very loud to very soft between ads and programs. It also goes from moderate volume to very soft within a program. Help!

Either unplug dish from tv or use the antenna side which is HD and program channels and see if volume the same, if not and is OK then it's your Dish bring your sound down or audio cables bad.

Trouble with Channel setup

It is important for the TV to know what type of
signal-Cable TV (CATV) or a normal antenna
you are using. Choose your signal (Antenna or
Cable):
Press MENU to see the main menu.
Press CH+ or CH- to highlight Setup.
Press OK
to enter the Setup submenu.
TV/CATV is highlighted. Press VOL+ or
VOL-
to select TV or CATV.
Choose CATV if you have Cable TV
service. (See page 4 for connection
details.) If you do not have Cable TV
service and you connected an antenna
to the TV, choose TV. (See page 5 for
connection details.)
Press MENU repeatedly to exit the
menu or the menu will automatically
disappear within a few seconds if no
buttons are pressed on the remote
control.

And here is the manual if you need .

I've just hooked up my converter box. I can get most channels with decent reception. However, I can't get my NBC affiliate. I've been told that I need a new indoor directional antenna. What kind shoul

Totally depends on how far you live from the station you want. I sell antennas, converter boxes, the whole shebang at my retail store, and you're not alone in your confusion :-) My best advice to you is this:

www.antennaweb.org

If you live closer than 15 miles, rabbit ears
If you live closer than 20 miles, omnidirectional
If you live closer than 50 miles, midrange outdoor (oldschool arial w/ rotator)
Further than 80 miles, you'll need a long range with rotator, perhaps even an amplifier to go with it. Print off what your results were on antenna web and bring it to a RadioShack or a local antenna store and they should be able to point you to the right antenna for your particular location.

Get HD Signals but it Says Channels not available

you might have to look for "hidden" hd channels.

most cable companies are broadcasting the local stations unencrypted, so you should be able to receive them and sometimes a few other "basic" hd channels like discovery or tnt.

try googling your cable system, city and hd channels to see if someone has posted a list of channels (eg, 88-1 or 102-1)

Can't get any tv reception

My friend, you need to hook up a signal source such as an antenna or cable . The channels wont come in and it will all depend on where you live and how close to a major city on what and how good you will get the stattions. then once an antennena is connected, do the auto programming again. Good Luck
