Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

I believe that he is reffering to the waste ink tank where the cartriges stop to the right when not being used. There are two small foam pads over there.
I cleaned mine by opening lid and have carriage run to the left, then I reach in with a q-tip and press down repeatly until q-tips are almost clean. You will need a flashlight to see waht you are doing.

It says my waste ink absorber is almost full, see manual. I don't have the manual. What do I do?

The printer needs to be professionally serviced. If it is under warranty contact Canon ( canon.com ) The parts may be available for purchase from a repair shop but I do not know if they are sold that way. Once the printer is serviced, then the counter needs to be reset. (Some printer tech support web sites will include the details of this procedure. Without the exact model of your printer, I can't check the manufacturer's site.)

The printer will stop printing when the counter hits its preset number for when the waste ink pads are full. If your printer is out of warranty, it may be cheaper to replace it than to have it repaired.

I hope this helps.
