New system. Sound is great other than a loud crack/popping sound when i change channels or FFW PVR

Well if it is DLP TV then crack/ pop sound was broken lamp in TV and if its another kind of TV as you did not mention its model and brand then have to check accordingly.

Intermittent loss of audio single


Go into your Audio section of the Menu and make sure that SAP is turned OFF. Let me know how you did.

Any other symptoms? You may be just hearing the occasional sound of static being bled off, or, if the set is not working properly, the sound of the high voltage section trying to compensate...accordianman

Onkyo TX-SR304S 5.1- Popping Issue


I called Onkyo support regarding the issue with the clicking/popping noise and they said that that's normal when you change channels that are digital. They don't seem to think that it's a defect.

Poping in speakers


Same issue with my AVR-589...2-15 minutes after sound is playing (via TV or DVD). I checked all wires and speakers. Even reconfigured to audio only (analog) coming in, same issue. Put my old Denon receiver in and the problem disappears...possible overheating issue with this new unit?

Menu, volume and channel emblems will not show up


take your set to a tech the tv system control circuit might have damage, that circuit controls OSD,channel memory. it is an ic that controls that circuit along with other components.good luck.
