Auger moves freely all shear pins are in tack and belt has good tension. When I move the impeller by hand in turns but auger doesn't .what could be problem

Something in the linkage between the impeller and the auger is not connected. Your task is to find it, and keep your fingers intact.
What kind of auger is this?

Auger won't stop

Open up plastic cover over belts. There is a pulley that moves against belt to engage front auger. There is a spring that hold it in the off position and when you pull the handle it moves that pulley.Sounds like spring broke or slipped off.

Left auger does not engage/spins freely

The shear pin is sheared off. Somewhere along the auger, you'll find a hole drilled all the way through it. The shaft inside also has a hole drilled all the way through it. Compare the two augers - the holes are USUALLY in a straight line with each other (when one is up/down, the other is also up/down).

Get a replacement shear pin (DO NOT use a hardened bolt!) and put it through the holes when the auger holes are lined up with the axle holes.

Noma auger wont stop spinning when disengaged

Sounds like either the auger belt is jammed to tight or handle mechanism to engage/disengage is stuck in on position. I would remove belt cover to inspect auger belt and pulley first, then remove bottom cover and inspect auger engage apparatus. I think once you inspect the problem will be self explanatory. Good luck!

Auger blades are spinning

sound like you might have 2 problems. If auger doesn't engage in heavy snow you probably just have ice accumulation inside the impeller. Dont try to engage until impeller is cleared of snow (shut off and unplug spark plug before cleaning) Second if blades are spinning than you must have hit something in your path and broke the shear bolt (about 2 bucks at hardware shop) remove the old bolt and replace it and it should work again if this is the problem. Good luck.

I have my john deere lt 180 hooked up to a 42" snow blower but every time that i engage it the engine shuts off. The belts seem to on right but i just cant figure it out. Any ideas?

Try pressing the yellow button on the "dash". This is used for driving in reverse with the auger engaged, but it may be acting as a safety to engage the auger. Hope this helps.

How do i change the auger belt on a honda hs 70 snowblower?

Remove the auger belt housing cover 4 bolts (10mm), if you are lucky, you can take the belt out, or just cut it. The slide the new belt between the auger and driving pulleys. there is a break pad under the auger pulley, so have someone engage the auger handle and put the new belt on the auger pulley. Or you can remove 10 12mm bolts and separate the auger and engine. Even though you have remove more bolts, it is easier.

When i depress the paqddle to dispense ice the auger does not engage and no ice will come out

Make sure the ice bucket is fully seated into the space below the ice maker where it rests, if not in all the way, the auger cannot engage and or the switch that tells the auger motor that the bucket is in place will not be triggered.
Good Luck !
