SOURCE: I have a Model 737

Its hot pressed onto the shaft its made not to come apart because if it did in use it would not be good. I use sawalls all of the time and fine if the blade snaps low you can get them out with a strong magnet if you hold it up side down and turn the collar shake it around mabey spray some WD40 in side first it may take a little doing but it beats takeing that change collar a part.

Try taking the boot off and removing the shoe, then maybe you can get at the collar to loosen it?

most blades are held in with a collar if there is no hex screw obvious
pull the shaft all the way back up then pull the collar around the blade up further and the blade should fall out.

Point tool away from body.

2. Rotate blade clamp collar (the knurled diamond pattern knob just at the back of where the blade goes) to release position.

I'm unable to remove the blade from the quick change something won't release the blade model 6521-21

what you can try is to unplug tool and spray something like WD-40 on the collar mechanism and usually it is simpler for this to remove the pivot shoe and turn the collar and release until you can get full rotation and pull the blade out. There might be some dirt in the release mechanism not allowing the blad/collar to release. This is about the only way without having to remove the assembly. Let me know if you need more assistance

The diamond insert in the hub of the blade keeps falling out as soon as I start a cut. What is wrong?

DO NOT USE SAW!!!

1. switch off saw, remove cord from socket (positive electrical insulation)
2. lift table for maximum cut and check size of the washer holding the blade,
3. you should have holding nut with collar, collar is about 1 1/4 (32mm) diameter, then blade (diamond is actually universal reducing bush in some blades) and lastly you should have internal washer, again, about 1 1/4" (32mm) diameter. if your collar are smaller, you need to replace blade as not suitable for your particular model, albeit I am rather suspicious that you have wrong collared nut and internal collar. Please check if both collars are exactly this same diameter. Please check if collars cover diamond cut-out.
4. if you see discreptancy between description in 3, purchase suitable blade (external diameter is 7 1/4" (184mm), as you did not supply what model of your saw, therefore most probably shank is 5/8" (16mm),
5. mount internal bush (collar), will go correctly only in one way.
6. mount blade (pay attention to cut direction, cutting surface should be clockwise if you look at mounting shaft.
7. mount external flared nut
8. check blade for slippage and wobbliness
9. connect power cord and switch on/off
10. check saw blade againg for slippage/wobbliness
11. make test cut if 10 was correct
12. use normally

Do not forget that this is not a toy, it will cut through wood, ocassional nail and your fingers.

Opearating saw crate flying debris, always wear googles or facemask, you have only two eyes and there is no spares.

Please leave note how you go with this advice.

I have a Sears 10 inch bench top table saw. Model 133221770. purchased in 1998. Lost the ''collar blade''. Sears stopped making the part, can I substitute or where can I find one?

If you can measure the arbor size, (the spindle the blade goes on), just buy any collar that will fit. The basic purpose of the collar is to spread out the force over a larger area of the blade from the arbor nut when it is tight.

I do not know how to install blade and have no manual

Most of the skil jigsaws have a plastic piece with a spring and catch behind it. Just push your blade into the tool and it should lock. When you want to remove it you need to press the plastic lock collar up and it will release the blade. Some of the earlier models weren't as easy to set the blade in and you have to press the lock collar up insert the blade and let the collar down around the blade to lock it.

How does one remove a broken blade from a Bosch rs20 blade holder

twist the collar around where the blade fits in the saw. It will lock in the open position. When you insert the new blade, do so firmly until the collar releases locking the new blade in place. Give a tug at the blade to make sure it is locked in.
