Broken bobbin winder

For $29 at Hancock, Jo Ann's or Wal Mart you can get a thing called a Side Winder that will wind your bobbins without using the winder on your sewing machine. It has the additional advantage that you can wind while sewing. I use it even with machines that will wind bobbins.

Broken tripod for edu science telescope

You can buy a photo tripod and attach the tube to the tripod. You may need to visit a local hardware store to find the correct mounting bolts.

That scope is sold by Toys R Us -- as far as I know they DO NOT sell replacement parts.

Sorry

One of my leg locks is broken off, can it be replaced? this is a davisi and sanford courier xxt

Yes, I believe so. This tripod is made by Tiffen.
Here is the product brochure

Here is a link to the Davis & Sanford Tripods forum. This is actually linking into a specific "Broken Tripod Leg" post where a rep of Tiffen posted theoa message
Here is Tiffen Parts & Repair
and... you could just try the Contact Us if all else fails.
Good luck with getting it repaired! Seems like something that appears to only be 5 years old should still be supported.

I have a Minolta X-7A and it came with an Electronic Power Winder and I'm not sure how to use it

This is easy, underneath the power winder you should see a slver wingnut type device, this turns a screw which protrudes up (its the same pattern as a tripod screw) this will mate with the base of the camera, make sure that the on/off switch is facing the rear, put a new set of AA's in and off you go.. BEWARE do not hold your finger down too long on the shutter release, as the winder will shoot at 2 frames per second, 12 secs to burn a 24 exposure film......
I hope this has answered your question

Vivitar tripod V900 has a broken friction level

Vivitar has been out of the tripod business for a few years now. They may no longer have the parts. You may be able to find another V900 and scavage the parts. Make sure the model numbers match exactly. The V900SE is a different year and does not share the same parts as the V900.
