In Firefox, click on Bookmarks, then on Show All Bookmarks. Assuming you have stored the bookmark in Bookmarks Menu, double-click on Bookmarks Menu to open it. Find the bookmark you want to delete, select it and press the delete key.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

How to Add Life and Pep to an iMac G3

The old iMac G3 desktop was an excellent machine in its day. Today, it can still be a great little computer to scoot around the Internet, create graphics, manipulate photos, and do schoolwork or almost any other use you can imagine.

If you haven’t already upgraded to OS X 10.4 (Tiger), you should deeply consider doing this. Currently, this version of the Mac operating system is the earliest still being supported by major browsers, and is the newest that works well on the iMac G3. If you can’t upgrade to Tiger, consider using Panther (OS X 10.3).

After you update your operating system, download the latest version of your favorite browser. Remember; Microsoft stopped including Macintosh in its updates of Internet Explorer when Mac launched Safari, so all Mac versions are sorely out of date. Firefox, Opera, Camino and, of course the default Mac browser, Safari, are the best browsers for your iMac. If you can only use Panther, the Opera browser is the only one still including Panther in updates. Also, if you enjoy using Yahoo! Messenger, Panther and earlier are not supported by Yahoo! Messenger either. Unfortunately, time has marched on. You can, however, use the web version of Yahoo! Messenger through your browser.

Update your software using the Software Update feature found in the System section of the System Preferences dialog box. Changes to Java, QuickTime and other frequently used components have more than likely occurred since your OS was created and updates are important to keeping your machine running on today’s web.

Replacing your CPU is not suggested due to the difficulty level, but a quick fix of RAM can give your elderly machine a big boost of energy. The later G3’s can handle 1 GB of SDRAM, just use two 512 MB sticks. You can find these for a good price on eBay.

Once you have all these upgrades and updates, your little iMac will be the fierce web adventurer it once was. Happy computing!

How do I delete as well as store web address?

The easiest way to store web addresses would be adding them to bookmarks. To add a bookmark just click the star on the left of the url bar.
To delete web adresses go to file and history. There should be an option for deleting history. Select that and remove any websites you do not want stored in your history.
Note: These web addresses will not show up in the drop down in the url bar after deletion

I cannot restore my fire fox toolbar, and my favorites have all gone after i ran some new software cleaner.

if you lost all your favorites and bookmarks, it can only mean that the cleaning software deleted your files. if thats the case, your toolbars were also probably uninstalled. downloading the toolbar agian should solve the problem.

Imac will not wake from sleep

Though not too common, this does occur every once in a while on many Apple desktops/laptops. Usually an anomaly in the running processes gets stuck and prevents the system from awaking while sleeping.
To kill the processes, press and hold the power button for 7-10 seconds (or until the system powers off). Wait about 10 seconds and then power on the Mac.
I recommend performing a system update after logging onto the Mac and downloading any system & application updates available (and restart, if necessary, to complete).

Can't reboot iMac and disc is stuck in the slot loading drive

Shut down the mac by holding in the power button for about 10 seconds.
Is the CD a system CD or something else?
If it's a system CD restart the mac and hold down the letter C on the keyboard. after about 30 seconds the mac should boot up into installation mode. If it does, click on the language then then at the next page go up to the menu bar and locate Utilities and disk utility. Run the disk repair then try and restart. (The flashing ? means that the computer cannot find a start-up drive with a valid system on it. The repair routine can sometimes fix that - it doesn't always though.)
If it's not a system CD and you obviously need to get it out before you can do anything else - restart the mac but this time instead of holding down the C key, hold down the click on the mouse. It takes 10 to 15 seconds (sometimes longer) but it will force the computer to eject t the CD.

Firefox will not let me install adobe flash player .. I get error message after error message

Fire fox should have nothing to do with it. You could uninstall fire fox, install your flash player and then reinstall firefox. A couple of reasons for this problem could be, one, the flash player is from a dodgy site and fire fox is at odds with it, or the second is you have not got the latest version of fire fox. The only thing that should be at odds with the flash player, if there was something wrong is your operating system, not your web browser.

Facebook login not workin

you have to clear your cookies and history as well as form data and cache, you do this by the following methods,

1. this is for the fire fox browser only. tools > select clear resent history for fire fox 3+

for fire fox older version 2.0 and below it is tools> clear private data

for internet explorer go to tools> internet options > delete cookies > delete files > may want to also clear history. this will remove that files cache data stored by web site cookies for automatic log in and authentication good luck.
