SOURCE: Slow Flushing mechanism

Check the angle stop at the wall ( valve) if it more then a few years old the rubber inside sticks try turning it off and on a few times. Well first just make sure its open all the way to start. If both of those do not work It might have a screen at the opening of the preeure mechanism...check that the was no line trash caught in it from turning the water on and off. If none of these things work let me know and we can get more technical in find out whats wrong...heck you could have just gotten a bad one. The Plumbing company I worked for when I lived in houston had the contract with them to do there warranty work and boy did we do a lot of it .

SOURCE: Weak dual flush does not empty the toilet bowl.

Waste pipe problems aside, if its a dual flush check you are actually working the full flush button and that the mechanism is working properly and not stuck operating only the half flush. If then you look in the tank both the total water level in the tank (white screw at the filling valve) and the quantity of water let go for each full and half flush (blue parts below, in the flush mechanism) can be set to different levels. Yours might be set to the minimum

Why is the cistern noisy when refilling

remove lid and look where refill hose is located should be attached and in fill tube [center tube ] if it is than your toilet s noise is normal --you can knock it down a little by turning down the water pressure[turn the external valve on the water line going into toilet ] turn it a little this will also slow refill time as well --and as to ultra quiet that s for the flush mode not the refill mode

Stylus cistern flushes by itself occasionaly

There is water leaking into the bowl. When the water level gets low enough, it calls for refilling the tank. Leaky valve or worn down washer in the cistern.

How do i fix a cistern that is continually leaking in to the toilet bowl? i have tried to open the cistern at the flush button unit but do not want to force open. tried twisting but is quite tight.

most modern toilets do not have an overflow pipe to outside instead they overflow into the bowl itself so have to adjust level so it does not overflow into return

Weak dual flush does not empty the toilet bowl.

well, yes... but apart from providing you with a forum in which to vent your frustration I'm not sure how you think we might help. I have the same problem with a dual flush cistern, but in my case I know that the root of the problem lies in the fact that the soil pipe leading from the bowl has insufficient fall (because the previous owner of my house moved the toilet further from the down pipe). Maybe something like this is contributing to your problem too?

I have a 1998 Caroma Reflections cistern p/n 6871774. It is making a hissing noise after the tank is refilled, and water streaks down from the supply rim of the bowl. Which part needs to be replaced?

the inlet washer needs to be replaced to stop the overflow, the washers are easy to get and cheap but trying to get the unit open to replace the washer is my big question at the moment
