To set DVD Region to “0”, download file “6000.zip” (often also called “LG6000.zip”) from here:
http://www.multi-region.net/_media/6000.zip
Save the file and then unzip and extract it to your hard drive.
Now burn the subdirectory RMTM0000 and its contents (not the text file) onto a CD-ROM (ISO format, “closed” CD-ROM).
Insert CD-ROM into the LG BD 370 P player, and when the Region Management System screen is displayed, set the Region Code to “0” using your remote. Once done, press “PAUSE” on you remote to save, and you’re done!
SOURCE: BD300 will not play a Blue Ray DVD. Do I have to
If it plays a normal DVD then the answer is maybe. If it played Blu ray before I would try cleaning the eye! If it never played Blu-ray then your unit is bad. Suggest sending it directly back to ther factory!

I checked different forums and vendors to see what unlocking procedure they are following. There is only one method that i saw which is explained below :-
To set DVD (not BLU-RAY!) Region to "0", download file "6000.zip" (often also called "LG6000.zip") from here:
http://www.multi-region.net/_media/6000.zip
Save the file and then unzip and extract it to your hard drive.

Insert CD-ROM into the LG BD 300 player, and when the Region

Hello,
how long have you been using this player? I suspect the laser (lens) of the player. I think the laser (lens) is weak that's why it cannot read data/files on DVD discs.
To confirm if actually its a laser problem, insert an Audio CD into the player and see if will play. If it plays, then obviously, your laser (lens) is weak. But if it doesn't play Audio CD, then it might still be the laser (lens) or a mechanism problem.
Get a lens cleaner, use it
to clean the lens. If that doesn't solve the problem, get a screw
driver, open the player's cover so that you can gain access to the lens,
use a cotton board to clean the surface of the lens. This should clean
dust or dirt that might be on the lens.
If non of the above solves the problem, then know that you need to replace the laser to a brand new one.
To
replace the lens, remove the bad laser, use it as a sample to get
exactly the same type and do the replacement. Note that replacing a
laser (lens) needs a professional touch, so if you cannot replace the
laser, get it to a repairman to fix it for you.
Once this us done, your player will play all DVD discs again.
Good luck.
