    Disney Princess 13" TV Model #: P1300NTV

We purchased this for our daughter's birthday and have had a problem w/ it NOT responding to the remote AND not able to turn on manually. Per troubleshooting instructions: unplug for a few and try again. Well, that worked the first time. I contacted Disney's technical support and was advised warranty is in effect for 30 dys after purchase and that if unplugging didn't work, then there was NOTHING else he could recommend. He also advised that they (DISNEY TV's) don't "normally" last that long. I love Disney and all Disney products. However, do I really feel this rep was being forthright w/ me? I truly don't know. What I'm sure of is that even the most generic, bargain-basement, refurbished, clearance item wouldn't quit working this prematurely! Now, I said all this in an attempt to get some feedback as to how we should proceed w/ repairing our daughter's tv. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated both by my husband and I, but most especially by our 5 yr old little princess!

    Thanks in advance,

Mommy of 3 and 1 on the way :-)

    Stuck in Alaska.

Shipped this new from Ohio for my 7 year old daughter. Sunday I pulled the t.v. out of the box, hooked up the cable, set the channels, and she was good to go. Four days later the t.v. does not work. Per troubleshooting guide we unplugged waited 30 seconds and tried again. The power light is on, it responds to the remote for power, the light blinks and about 10 seconds later the t.v powers off. The screen is black, no sound, and will not respond to menu or other function keys.

Feeling ripped off while comforting a sad little girl.

General Information: purchased from walmart - limited warranty from starlight marketing limited - made in china.

JVC 42 inch LCD HD TV has no picture or sound

utencilio posted this fix. It worked for my JVC LT-42X579.

Okay, I found a fix! Called JVC, spoke to somebody there, here it is:
1)unplug the TV completely, no wall no power strips, completely
2)wait 10 sec
3)plug TV back in and Turn it on, the light will still be doing the same thing
4)wait 30 sec
5)ON THE TV, not the remote, locate the menu, volume (-) and power button.
6)while simultaneously holding down the menu and volume (-) button, pressed the power button ONCE and continue to hold the other 2 for 10 sec.
7)on the remote control, go to menu>settings>system info
*** now this I know as a FACT will work on systems that display: JVC - ver.5.32FO001, but I don't know of any other versions***
8)press the mute button on the remote twice
9)unplugg TV again and wait 10 sec.
10) plug TV in and turn on

It SHOULD be working normally now... Thanx to the guys a JVC support for this one, I know it seems like an obvious first place to look, but sometimes it isn't. I for one checked online forums first

TV switch light flickers 11 times but no function

Hopefully it is only a board component that needs replacing and your dry joints that need re-doing. I would advise that you take it to a television repair shop as this type of repair can be very complex (replacing resistors and capacitors just to name a few).
