Use a sharp razor blade to scrape it off, silestone is very hard, this should not scratch it (you should always experiment in an inconspicuous place first) use #0000 steel wool if any residue remains

How do I care for our silestone kitchen worktops?

We all know that Silestone quartz worktops are the toughest worktop material that need very low on maintenance, homeowners should be aware of the basics of caring for them, so that they can last them for years.

Silestone quartz can be a great choice for kitchen worktops, with its wide range of color and design choices, and the flexibility to be shaped to fit into just about any design. Silestone is one of the earliest quartz surfaces that was manufactured, and continues to be among the most popular choices in quartz. It's non-porous, heat and stain resistant and highly durable, making it one of the toughest materials that money can possibly buy.

Caring for Silestone worktops

  • Don't take resistance for granted -While Silestone is highly resistant to scratching, heat, stains, and chemicals, they aren't foolproof of such impacts. Intense heat, acidic foods, abrasive chemicals, etc.
  • Don't replace cutting boards with your Silestone worktop -Silestone is tough, and is built to withstand kitchen abuse, and you'll have to be very neglectful to cause it to damage.
  • The importance of routine cleaning -Routine cleaning of your Silestone can keep it shining, and at its best. And, cleaning Silestone is a matter of a few minutes a day only.

Which one has more heat resistant: Granite or Silestone? Explain?

Planning to refurbish your kitchen, Now-a-days, a wide range of choices for kitchen countertops are available in the market, which make you to choose the perfect one. In case if you are looking to select granite or Silestone for your kitchen worktops. Then, as per my knowledge both are popular choices, but he Granite is a very durable natural stone with a high aesthetic value. It is heat and scratch resistant but also porous and therefore possible to stain; it needs periodic maintenance. Where as the quartz used in countertops and flooring is a man-made combination of resins and crushed quartz. The resulting surface is non-porous, meaning it is more stain resistant than granite and requires less maintenance overall. If you mean some buttons don't work, then it may be time to take it apart for a cleaning. Using a toothbrush remove any sticky spilled substances and dry thoroughly and put it back together. If some buttons still don't work then the carbon paint on the backs of the rubber insert have worn off. I crazy glue pieces of foil to the bad ones and all is back to normal. (carbon paint is sold in electronic supplies for this but doesn't seem to last very long)

How do you fix uneven silestone counter tops? I had silestone counter tops installed 5 years ago and now they are "spliting" at the seam. This is dangerous as it is a very rough edge and you can easil

Hello, Sweet -

When the Silestone counter was installed, the installers probably used an epoxy to seal the seams.

I suggest you locate a company in your area which installs Silestone counters and ask if someone from the business can come to your home and evaluate the splitting seam to determine if they can repair it.

Best wishes.

How do I remove crazy glue from control panel? The cover over the plus control(to raise oven temperature) was coming off so I thought I would glue it back on! Bad idea ....now that control remains...

Not to much can repair / remove the crazy type glues once they are applied to plastics and plastic overlays. Some people attemp to use these not knowing that some types of plastic will not bond. most of the solvents that can desolve the glues will also damage the panels.
