I have a Philips DVP 5140 DVD player. Whenever I watch a movie on it, the DVD player emits annoying TV static. I was using an old TV before, but it is doing the same thing with my new TV. I am also using the cables from the TV, which worked fine for the old DVD player. I read somewhere that audio static might mean dust on the laser lens...is that my problem? If so, is there an easy way to fix it? If not, what is my problem? Thanks.

I just watched a movie and it was fine, I put in another one and it is requesting a passcode. I found the one on this site of 136900 and it didn't give me the invalid password error again, but it doesn't do anything after that either. Any suggestions?

Hy there. I have a Power Problem with Philips DVP5990/37: when I turned on, the display shows "PHILIPS", and no action can be applied after that: I can't play cd, dvd or nothing else, and turned off is not possible too. Could you please give me some help about that?
