SOURCE: nuova simonelli appia 1 ....pump will not stop pumping so tank fu

Your level probe is on the right hand side plate of the boiler, normally with a red wire leading to it.
I would take the probe out (spanner reqd, obv. with no pressure in the boiler) and clean it with wire wool.Scale often causes the probes to malfunction.
Then make sure when you refit the probe, the part of the probe in the boiler faces down.

SOURCE: Empty light on espresso machine won't turn off and tank is full

I have the same machine. I just went on the coffee geeks website and it is easily solved. Just add a few grains of salt to the reservoir - the sensor cant detect water that is purified - strange but true as four grains and it fired up just like that.

SOURCE: We own a nuova simonelli oscar espresso machine

Do not remove the water reservoir from the machine...the sensor is very sensitive. Leave it in and just fill it with tap water.

Burnt smell is coming from steamer wand

Boiler is contaminated with milk, check the water from the tea valve, if it smells the same or has swimmers, boiler needs to be descaled, if no floaties then removes steam wand and soak in purocaff for a few hours, then clean. Always flush ssteam wand before and after every drink.

It is dripping a little water out of the left head and dripping a little out of the left steam release in the back.

Replace the solenoid on the head and the swivel o-ring on the steam wand, if leak is in the nut, if it is in the handle then the 2 small o-rings on the plunger needs to be replaced.

Steamer is not getting hot enough.

Try using the milk clamp on the tube going into the milk.Tightening it will make your milk hotter.
Your steam wand however, is a different problem.
First, check in the programming that the steam temp. is 125 celcius.
If it is, and none of the tubes from the steam wand to the boiler valve are blocked, your boiler temp. sensor may be faulty, in which case, you will need to replace that.
