SOURCE: Coins stuck in Maytag Atlantis dryer. Could

First unplug the machine. Then remove the door.
You will then be able to remove the "goalpost" front panel. Then you will be able to get the hold down off so you can lift the top. Are the coils inside the drum vanes? Just remove them and dump the coins out and reattach the vanes. A lot of trouble for a few coin. That's the story of my life.

D2, issues are a common problem with this dryer.

make sure you have 120 volts at terminals L1 + L2.

Shut power to this dryer off (top + bottom) go to the rear/top of this dryer and remove the cover plate and look at the hot and neutral wires and make sure they are correctly secured into the wire nuts.

Other things to try is remove the cover plate from the bottom motor contactor. At start time or when you are having these problems with the dryer push the contactor in manually, does the motor turn? Then its not a electrical problem. If not the then have a electrical problem either inside the dryer or to it.

Change the price on maytag top loading washer

Price change for a model MAT12.
Remove the access plate above the coin acceptor with a key. The display should show code 6 and two numbers. Code 6 is the regular cycle and the number of coins required to start. Press the perm press button to advance the number of coins. 06 equals 6 quarters, 08 equals 8 quarters, etc.
Reinstall the access door when finished.

The lights on the dryer work it wont start it didnt have any problems drying before this happened no odors or smells i have a maytag MDE5500AYW. please help. thank u

If the display on the dryer reads '88' then place a heating pad over the display. After a few minutes, the '88' code will clear, and it will work fine. Sounds crazy, but works every time for me.
