It is more than likely the compressor is not running, only the fan.
It seams that the humidity sensor is flaky on these units. You can,
operate the unit, by opening up the dehumidifier and unplug the sensor from the main board. The unit will cycle on and off and remove the water from the air.....good luck

SOURCE: Dehumidifier Error?

This error code indicates that the problem is most likely a shorted defrost thermistor or possibly a pinched wire going to the thermistor. You will need to replace the sensor assembly - part # 6877A30013L. The Sears website has it listed for 9.99 + shipping. The humidity sensor & defrost thermistor come together in a wiring harness that plugs onto the main circuit board. It is fairly simple to repair. Just remove the front & rear grill & the metal cabinet. Remove the thermistor from the copper tube on the cooling lines; remove the humidity sensor from the front of the evaporator; pull the wire plug off the bucket switch; & remove the small 7 pin plug from the main circuit board inside the metal control box. Reverse procedure to install new sensor assembly.

Normal 0 When you push the power button, the blower fan comes on. In a few minutes you should hear a second "click"--that is your compressor starting. Do you hear that second click?

Kenmore 54351 Dehumidifier is leaking -- water isn't going into the tray, but seems to be leaking out into the floor.

Mine is doing the same thing. The bucket is dry and the floor is flooded, so it is not an inability to condense, and it is not that the bucket has overflowed, and the bucket does not have a leak. It had been working great and then this suddenly started happening, it's as if the water is not flowing along the proper route and instead is gathering behind the bucket.

According to this, a user was able to remedy the error by replacing the sensor assembly. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do this, and I cannot direct you to a place to purchase a new part, so you may be better off getting it repaired at a local Sears retailer.

Dehumdifier won't drain

You just need to get the water flowing and start the siphoning process by taking out the water bucket while it's full of water and raising it up high enough to start the water flowing. Once the water starts flowing, you can put the bucket back and the water will keep flowing (by capillary action). If the bucket empties completely, you may have to do it again periodically to get the water flowing again.

Hopper not seated right

I had the same problem with my Kenmore dehumidifier. The bucket couldn't be properly seated because the plastic cracked slightly at the site where the bucket normally is held. Because of this, the button that it is supposed to be pushed in to keep the dehumidifier running wasn't pushed in all the way. A friend has a Kenmore with the exact same bucket- tried hers, and it works perfectly.

The problem I have now is that I can't find the bucket for sale.

No water in bucket

possible that the cooling fins have frosted over...this happens when a cold surface appears in a humid room that does not have enough heat to prevent the freeze-up on the fins. If you look at the fins (above the water bucket), you may see the frost. One solution is to turn up heat in room, followed by placing a fan to blow air through fins if still frosted. If you do not have a frost problem, then ensure compressor is running. If comp is running, then return dead unit.
