the cmos battery is under the palm rest of the viao....requires you to take off the keyboard and undo 2 screws holding the palmrest on....slide the palmrest off....battery is plugged into the touchpad circuit board

Carefully open your laptop by unscrewing it.
Lift the back cover and you will see the mother board.
You will see a large flat round battery.
That is your CMOS battery.
