the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: program copier not to sleep at work

I suspect it goes to sleep after a period of inactivity. To wake it up just use it. You dont want the heated rollers to be heated all the time, it wastes electricity. I'm not sure if this copier can be programmed to be awake as soon as you start work. The most environmentally friendly option would be to turn it off when you leave work and turn it on again just before it is next needed. If you think there is a better answer then PLEASE just rate me with 'Thanks for trying' Regards

SOURCE: Xerox 8560 is very hot even in sleep mode

the fusers get about 300 degrees to melt the toner to the page. If you do not have the phaser clean regularly, the paper dust that is next to the fuser could smell like it is burning.

Xerox Phaser 8560MFP: When in sleep mode, the printer still wakes up to do a warm up test and then goes back to sleep. How can I turn this off?

Look in the setups.
It might be a good idea to print out the setup sheets. Look under sleep mode and set the time accordingly to what you want.
Alternatly go to the WWW.xerox.com website for assistance.
Good luck.

I own a phaser-8550 and the problem is that the printer seems to wake up when it is in sleep mode. If I turn it off and back on the next day, jobs print OK until it goes to sleep and it forgets to wake up....

There are two stages to the sleep mode, One is a low power condition. That is the real sleep mode. There is also a time that will shut the machine off. You can go into the machine setups and shut that timer off.

Hi,

There is nothing you can do about the cleaning page. And if its only using 20% of your ink, you're luck normally its 25% of the ink. This is simply how the machine works. Nothing can be done. The Xerox employee was simply trying to give you something to try, but it won't change anything!

Power spike

It sounds like you have some serious wiring issues within the building / house you are in, and voltage is being sent back through ground when the printers fuser goes into warm-up.

A line conditioner / stabilizer may help, but honestly, I would call an electrician before it completely shorts out the computer, or burns the house down.
