Select the required, Windows or MAC based, software download and follow up the instructions.

With the help function in the manager search for the word rip . This function is used for converting audio CD to mp3, wma or ogg extension.
The help content in the media manager for XP / Vista for rip is on page 12 and 13: I'm not familiar with MAC.

If you are concerned about the integrity of your hard drive, I recommend you run chkdsk c: /f or /r, according to the instructions here and here.
If you suspect malware could be an issue, I recommend these malware removal protocols.

Just don't be so concerned about running processes that you start terminating things randomly, or you'll more likely hose your system than improve performance. If you're interested in improving performance, google performance + your os at windows help & how to (click here) and follow the steps outlined there to reduce startups, clean temp files, defrag, shut down unnecessary services, etc.
Here's another link a great windows support site, with tips on optimizing windows.

This is the only possible ideas I can thing of :

Fuel injectors, related wiring, sensors and computer issues
Running out of gas, or poor fuel quality
Evaporative emissions system (EVAP) concerns: fuel vapors leaking into engine
Incorrect Fuel Pressure
EGR system concerns: leaking EGR valve or restricted ports
Base engine concerns: low compression, valve train problems and timing issues
Ignition module or related wiring issues
Ignition related sensor faults or wiring issues

I know you did these two things:
Faulty spark plugs
Faulty coil or related wiring

Hi, Only two things you can try: 1. Use a CD cleaner. Hopefully it's just a speck of dust covering the lens making it unable to read discs; 2. If that doesn't work, your best bet perhaps is to return the unit. Trying to open the DVD unit of the laptop will void any warranty you may have. Hope this be of some help/idea. post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
