Air Switch Repair
It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor.
The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub.
This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off. You need part # TBS-310

Where can I get rebuild kit for the pump of my Aker swirlbath model CT26060B0? The seal is leaking at motor shaft end of pump.

That is great, that you posted a picture of the motor....
but unfortunately the motor does not have a seal. It is the wet end that is connected to the motor which makes a pump, and that has the mechanical shaft seal.
if you remove the cover of the wet end, and expose the impeller, then remove the impeller, and expose the shaft seal, we would be able to assist you better. A picture of the wet end and post it, will greatly assist as well.
unfortunately the information that you provided, although very much appreciated, really does not assist. Because the manufacturer of the tub, can use a variety of different vendors for the pump. But,...
if your tub came with a serial number? You can contact the manufacturer and they may have records as to what pump was used on your specific unit. And then from there you would be able to know what pump or more specifically...which Wet End, was used and then you would be able to find out which mechanical shaft seal went into that pump or Wet End!

if I was to venture a guess: it is either a

The jets on my aker Swirlbath are coming on by themselves in the middle of the night. What is the remedy for this problem?

Some tubs with air jets have a sensor that detects water in the piping and cycles the air pump to blow out the water in the air jets. Make sure the faucet is not dripping as the water leaking into the tub could be causing the pump cycling problem.

Hope this helps.

I have a 16 year old Aker whirlpool tub. Recently the tub turned on with no one near it. I had to turn the breaker off so the motor did not burn out. It appears the air switch has failed. How do you...

If it is an air switch, the switch itself is located on the pump.Locate the air line that goes from the button and follow it to the pump. It is possible to replace the switch with the pump in a accessible location. If not remove the pump and replace the switch on a work bench. The switch is inside the black or blue box located on the pump motor. Hope this helps.
