How to reset lamp hour on lg bx327 projector

Here is a link to the manual in case yo don't have it:
http://www.projectorcentral.com/pdf/projector_manual_6082.pdf

However it doesn't include counter reset instructions that I could find!

I didn't find specific 327 instructions, but here are 3 different procedures for other units:
Turn the power off but keep pluged in. Press the buttons on the control panel in the sequence as below.
Press "Up Arrow", Press "Down Arrow", Press "Left Arrow", Press "Right Arrow", Press "Menu", Press "Enter".

Lamp time will be initialized

  • If you do not have a remote here is how to reset the filter time. Use the "Menu" bottun to get the "easy menu" to display. Push the down arrow until you get to "Filter Time," then push and hold the RIGHT arrow to reset the filter time. DO NOT try to reset using the "Reset" option on the easy menu, it will not work.

Message says airfow blocked, turns on for about a minute then shuts off

1. Remove the air intake filters on your DLP projector. As explained by InFocus, a manufacturer of LCD and DLP projectors, each DLP model will house the air filters in a different location. However, for most DLP projector products, the filters are accessible by unclipping a simple plastic latch.

2. Wipe the air filters with a small cloth dipped in rubbing alcohol.

3. Blow compressed air into the unit's vents. This will force some internal dust out of the DLP projector, but you may still need to open up the unit for additional dust removal.

4. Unsnap the main cover from your DLP projector. Because DLP projectors need periodic lamp replacement, the main cover is rarely secured with screws or bolts. However, if the DLP projector's cover does not snap off, then you'll want to inspect the unit for possible screws or an alternate release latch.

5. Reach in and remove visible dust globs with a paper towel. Be careful to avoid touching the lens, as fingerprint smudges can diminish DLP projector image quality. If you accidentally smudge the lens while picking out dust blobs, wipe the lens with a dry, lint-free microfiber cloth.

6. Spray compressed air into your DLP projector to remove any lingering dust particles.

7. Close up the projector and reattach the filters.

I have an rca hdlp6iw51 and i found a color wheel on ebay but i dont know how to change it does anyone have any advice

Follow this steps:
1. Take the back panel off of your set, using your Phillips head screwdriver, to remove any screws. 2. Remove the projector lamp. You can reach the color wheel without doing it, but you are less likely to damage the projector lamp if you take it out. Loosen the screws at the base: depending on your DLP's brand, the screws may come out, or may just loosen. If they come out, set them in a safe place before removing the lamp. If not, just pull the entire lamp out, once the screws will not loosen further. 3. Take out the panel that is connected to the cable outlets, using the screwdriver to take out any screws. Pull the panel until the cables, attached from the inside, run out of slack.
4. Remove the screws at the bottom of the panel, in the center, and any screws connecting this panel to the outer case of your DLP. The number and location of these screws will vary depending on your DLP's brand.

  • 6 Pull out the entire center unit, pulling gradually. Then, unplug the power cable from the main set (this is generally blue and brown). Remove the sensor switch and any cables joining the center unit to either side of the set.
  • 7 Take out the plug from the cover of the color wheel. In most brands, it will have a black and blue wire connected to a green circuit board. Then, remove any cables coming out of the wheel. Depending on the brand, the screws may be small enough to require the jeweler's screwdriver.
  • 8 Remove the screws holding the color wheel cover in place. Remove the cover, then take out the screws holding the wheel in place. If tape is holding the wheel, just pull on the wheel until it comes free.
  • 9 Put the new wheel into the slot. You do not want to touch the wheel, or you will blemish it and leave impressions that will be visible when the light shines through it. Re-insert the screws. Then, replace the cover, making sure that the wire jacks are in the same places.
  • 10 Reassemble the DLP television, then plug the set into the wall, and turn on the power.
