The Catholic Church sees the Mass or Eucharist as "the source and summit of the Christian life", to which the other sacraments are oriented. The Catholic Church believes that the Mass is exactly the same sacrifice that Jesus Christ offered on the Cross at Calvary.

What does popery mean as far as the Christian religion?

The doctrines, practices, and ceremonies associated with the Pope or the papal system; Roman Catholicism. Anglicans rejected popery as they had the King of England as the head of the Church rather than the Pope. (Just a historical reference to put the expression in context.)

Did President Barack Obama cancel the National Day of Prayer and declare that we are no longer a Christian nation?

This is a chain email that is going around. There is some basis in fact with regard to the claims in the email, but the truth is that the National Day of Prayer has NOT been cancelled, nor has the President declared that we are not a Christian Nation. Truth be told, there is nothing that "officially" declares the US a Christian nation. Our roots may be steeped in Christianity, but the Founding Fathers made sure to state "officially" that the government would not recognize any religion as the "state" religion. This was to prevent the type of persecution that many religions faced in Europe. This is what guarantees us religious freedom in this country. It is also what the misinformed use to quote as "separation of church and state". They mistakenly believe that the meaning of those words that guarantee us religious freedom somehow means that anything or anyone that has ties to the government cannot openly practice their religion (ie: prayer in school).

You'll have to provide more information about what you have and what is standing in your way. For instance: what kind of tablet are you using? Does the center have free wifi that you can access? Or do you have a cellular data plan for your tablet? Do you know the name of the bible app that you want to use?
