Question about LG DLE2140W Dryer
As soon as we close the dryer door, the drum starts turning immediately, even if we haven't turned the power on. The door switch is good. Heating elements are ok (41 ohms). I believe it may have to do with the centrifugal switch or the main board. Those I believe are the most likely culprits
If you checked the heating elements you should have see an envelope that is enclosed in the machine. It has all the diagnostic information and tests that techs use.

Testimonial: "I actually checked the heating elements from the relays on the control board. I didn't go directly to the elements. There is a small wiring diagram on the side of the machine."

no problem with motor or control board. fault is with the motor capacitor only. this is often attached to the motor or near it. the value of the capacitor will be printed on it (usually about 8uf) and you should be able to source from an electrical spares shop

If you can manually turn the drum, the motor's start windings may be bad.
If you can't get the drum to move, check to see if a sock or other small item is stuck between the drum and the inside of the front of the dryer. If you see nothing, it's possible that one or more of the four drum rollers is/are seized.
