Question about HP Designjet 5500 (42 in.) InkJet Printer
Setting your 5500 to 42" - this is done through the application ( eg PDF VIEWER) when selecting print choose print options or advanced in the next window that appeaers( driver panel) select the tab marked paper, in the next window you are able to set the size of the image and the size of the paper also whether youwould like the printer to transpose the print 90degrees to make more use of the media
alteratively you could open your printers folder select the DJ5500 and right click -select properties and as above choose the Paper tab to set as default the paper roll to the size required
hope this helps - if not please give more details that I might better understand your issue
