There is no air pressure switch on an air conditioner... but if there was, there would be 2 wires. Pull the wires & jump them together.

99 chrysler lhs air compressor won't work

unplug the low pressure switch in the air conditioner line near the dryer with air switched on , jump the connector with a short piece of wire to see if the compressor clutch engages. If it does your pressure switch is bad. If the pressure switch is good then there is a fuse near the compressor somewhere that may be blown. If it blows new fuse your clutch is bad.

Air conditioner won't work added freon changed low pressure switch compressor comes on when jumped across at low pressure switch just no cold air

The low pressure switch turns on appox 26 psi. If the pressure is lower than that, it wont work, you have a leak.

AIR CONDITIONER CLUTCH DOES NOT ENGAGE. I CHECKED ALL FUSES AND SWAPPED OUT RELAY. 1999 Windstar

Could be you have a leak & its low on charge.Try jumping 12v to the clutch & see if it engages,if it does then check the pressure switch,it has a 2 wire connector to it,unplug it & jump across the terminals. If the clutch engages then you either have a bad pressure switch or low charge.(DO NOT RUN THE SYSTEM WHILE JUMPED,IF ITS LOW ON CHARGE YOU WILL DESTROY THE COMP)

Three blinks on gas furnace, will not maintain flame

3 blinks indicates a pressure switch error. Check or replace air filter, condensate hoses for blockage, check small hose uo to pressure switch(s), check the vent pipes to make sure they pitch back to the furnace, check the air intake and exhaust pipes for any blockage outside. If all looks good, jump out pressure switch as soon as the exhaust fan starts to turn and see if unit starts. If it does, replace pressure switch.

I have a lennox ghr 26 gas hot air. have changed ignitor pressure switch control board only will run when jump out p switch. help.

If you got this far (that you jumped the pressure switch and the unit works) then you need to determine if it is the press.sw. or maybe it is not getting the pressure or vacumm needed for proper sensing. The silicone rubber tube attached to press. sw.; you must remove the end that goes to bosoter blower and (with your mouth) apply a very very gentile suction and you should hear a faint click from the switch or if it is a positive pressure system, you must give a very very gentile puff of air to the tube and you should hear the faint click. This tells you the switch is activating and the problem may be the orifice hole that the tube attachtes to (on the booster blower); it may be clogged.

What does it mean to clip the wire from the pressure switch and jump it? Molson02536

If you are referring to jumping across the pressure switch on an air conditioning system I recommend you don't do that. Other pressure switches are there for protection of the systems they serve. You can temporarily jump any pressure switch simply by using a short piece of wire and joining the two plug terminals for whichever switch you are working on Don't clip (cut) any wire or if you intend to ever re-connect that item you cannot.

99 suburban air not cold at all I don't see compressor clutch kick in all fuses are good

Try unplugging the pressure switch and jumping it with a wire. Either the high pressure or low pressure switch with make the compressor not turn on if bad. If the compressor kicks on, then check the pressure in the system. If the system is low on freon, have it repaired and all should be ok. If the freon level is ok, replace the pressure switch.

Hope this helps,

Jeff

Ac not working in a 2004 corolla it has freon but compressor wont start

Mabey not enough freon or the low pressure switch is malfunctioning. Jump the low pressure switch for just a little and see if this kicks it off. Once pressure switch is jumped turn ac off then back on. This will let enough pressure in system to get going or let you know the switch is bad. Hope this helps.

Air Conditioning

Check your pressures again. Jump the pressure switch and see if this makes the compressor come on. If it does then jump it long enough to get some more freon into the system. This should give switch enough pressure.

Make sure your vacuum is good on the system before you fill.
