What does "EFO" stand for? It keeps blinking on my washer

EF0

displays due to washer over-sudsing or due to washer not filling with

Hot

water.

Causes for washer over-sudsing

:

Not using High Efficiency (HE) detergent.

Too much detergent was added.

Using too much 2X or 3X HE detergent

Solutions for over-sudsing

:

Always use HE detergent in an HE washer. It is formulated to be a low-sudsing detergent and made especially for HE washers.

Be sure to use the correct amount of detergent. HE washers require only a small amount of detergent.

Note

: This amount may need to be adjusted for water hardness, load size, and soil level.

If using a 2X or 3X concentrated HE detergent, much less detergent is needed. If suds are seen, reduce the amount used.

If using a water softener, less detergent.

Solutions for Hot water not entering the machine are

:

Make sure both Hot to Cold water hoses are connected properly at the faucets and at the washer.

Fill hoses are usually color coded, blue for cold and red for hot.

Verify that the hot water inlet hose is connected to the hot water faucet.

Verify that the cold water inlet hose is connected to the cold water faucet.

Verify that the hot water inlet hose is connected to the back of the washer into the hot water inlet port.

The inlet port is usually labeled with (H) or (HOT).

Verify that the cold water inlet hose is connected to the back of the washer into the cold water inlet port. This inlet port is usually labeled with (C) or(COLD).
hope this was some help, all the best.

Tip

LG Washing machine IE error code Solutions

An IE error code will appear if the washer has not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes.

Are the water valves opened completely?

If an IE error code appears on the washer, check to make sure both hot and cold-water taps are open completely. After both valves have been opened, unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.

Are the inlet hose filters clogged?

There are filters on the inlet hose connections of the washing machine. They are intended to filter away mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from getting into the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through these filters into the washer. Turn off both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washing machine, and clean the inlet filters gently but thoroughly.

Are the inlet hoses attached properly?

If the inlet hoses are not attached to the machine correctly, it will prevent proper water flow to the washer. Turn off the hot and cold water supply then disconnect and reconnect the inlet hoses. Ensure that they are threaded properly. After the hoses have been reconnected, open the water taps completely, check for leaks, and unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.

NOTE: The inlet filters are inside the hose connections on the back of the washer. Because of their small size, take care when removing and cleaning the inlet filters so that they do not break.

Leaking water from the hose connections

Had the same problem w/the water inlet w/initial installation. When the water inlet was hooked to the faucet and into the washer, water leaked on the washer end. The manual tells you to put a new "flat" washer (provided) in the washer machine water inlet, but water still leaked. It's actually the not flat washer, it's more of an "U" shape washer that goes into the washer machine water inlet and fits right over the filter in the water inlet valve. Leak was solved, but faucet was on and water was not filling in the drum. Turn power on, select cycle, water level, and press start and water should start filling the drum.

Washer flashing FH, first F, then H

"FH" (Water Inlet Problem-no water or insufficient water
supply)
Select PAUSE/OFF twice to cancel the cycle. Unplug washer
or disconnect power.
Check the following:
Are water faucets completely turned on?
Are screens at inlet hose connection to washer clogged?
Are water inlet hoses kinked?
Are water inlet hoses frozen?

Also check the pressure hose for cracks or worn through spots, and pressure switch.

My neptune washer is making a loud noise when in th spin cycle like a bearing is going out. Is there a bearing going out?

unfortunately yes,
your main seal on the oter tub is drying out, and will continue to get louder until either the motor control fries due to resistance or it just seizes up
it can be reapired but you will need an new outer tub 500.00 spinner assembly 200.00 i could talk you through the reapir,, it really it that easy, but
for 700.00 you could easily replace the machine for brand new

i tell you this at the risk of a bad rating beacuse i bear bad new,, but i wanted to be as honest as possible to allow you an informed decision before you proceeded

Reapir man said that the outer tub was worn out, it leaks and the washer now leaks and does not spin fast enough

More than likely it is, buy a new or another machine, cheaper in most cases than fixing tub. Still want more, give me make and MODEL NUMBER.....
