My mouse, a dell wm123 wireless optical mouse, stoped working, changed the bateries and all i can get is a faint green blinking light.

You can not fix a defective mouse. I suggest you go to Walmart and get a new combo wireless keyboard/mouse for approximately $20.00.

I have a Dell optical mouse WM123. Mouse works fine initially. When there is screen lock and I enter Windows username/pswd, I get the message that device driver has failed. Anyone faced this problem?

A workaround might be to go to Device Manager and under USB Controllers, Properties of each USB hub, Power tab, deselect the "Allow Windows to turn off this device to save power" option.

But to solve the problem, you probably need to update the driver for the mouse, or revert to an earlier driver under mouse properties in the Control Panel.

Does mouse have a battery? I cannot get the mouse to work.

    Flip your mouse over and remove the battery cover. Gently pull it up and set it down in a safe place.
  2. Step 2 change-wireless-mouse-battery-1.2-120x120.jpg jQuery(document).ready(function(){ jQuery('#jsArticleStep2 span.image a:first').attr('href',''); }); Carefully remove each battery.
  3. Step 3 Insert the new AA batteries into the mouse. Make sure the positive and negative connectors are lined up correctly. Do not force or jam your batteries into place.
  4. Step 4 Place the battery cover over the opening and click it into place. Flip your mouse over. If your particular mouse has a charged or not-charged display light, make sure it is showing full strength.

Changing batteries on a logitech lx5 mouse

turn off the mouse using the switch on the bottom.
press the battery door release button on the underside of the mouse, towards the back.
that should release the battery door, which is the top part of the mouse, where your palm would rest.
the mouse takes 2 AAA batteries.
