Question about Kodak EasyShare C913 Digital Camera

How do I reset the photo/frame numbers?

After deleting photos I cannot find anywhere on camera or manual on how to reset the frame number to start at 1 again. All it does is keep a rolling cont. Formatting the card doesn't do it. nor does deleting the pictures.

I'm afraid your camera can't set the photo count to 1.
At least the user manual does not show any possible hint how it could be done.

SOURCE: new memory card will not format

You are probably using a 4 gigabyte memory card and your camera will only support a 2 gigabyte card. Get the right card and it will format properly.

SOURCE: when i turn the camera on....it saids memory card

Use a computer with memory card reader, and read the card using a computer.

If the computer says the same and does not read the card, then the pictures inside the card are usually lost.

If computer instead does read the card, then transfer all picture on computer using the memory card reader, and format the card using complete formatting.

If you need to use the camera tonight, then buy a spare memory card.
If the camera returns same error on different card, then you may have a faulty memory card slot, but that is quite uncommon.

SOURCE: I accidently delete some photos from kodak

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
Download asoftech photo recovery software
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

Camera won't let me take photo

Either put in a new memory card or erase the existing photos. See page 132 of this manual.

Alternatively, change the frame number setting as described on page 98.

How do I revert the image numbers back to 001 when I've deleted all photos off the memory card. Nikon L26 Coolpix

I do not have an L26, but on Nikon SLR's there is a menu item that allows you to reset the counter. The L26 may have the same feature since it is rather basic. Have you looked in the manual that came with your camera?

When I turn on the camera it says 'Frame No. full' and doesn't work... it's the FinePix s9500 and the memory shouldn't be full as I've deleted most of it... How can I fix it please?

It doesn't say the memory is full, it says the frame number is full. Basically you've taken 9999 pictures and it doesn't know what to do with the file name. Look in the setup menu for a frame number reset, or a file number reset. If you can't find either of those, look for a general purpose reset function - it's usually right at the bottom near the card formatting function because you hardly ever use it.

You will have to manage the situation that you will now have duplicate file names, since it will start numbering from 0001 again. I suggest you archive all your current photos, and start anew somehow.

My memory card is completely empty, all photos

You need to reset the file-numbering.
Turn mode-dial to Set and turn on the camera. Select Frame No. from the setup menu. Switch Frame No. to Renew. Press OK. Format the card (also from the Setup Menu) After formatting, select Frame No. againg and switch to Cont. File numbers will now start from 100.0001 again

How do i reset the photo numbers, when i take photos and download them onto my pc the next set of photos i take do not start at 1 the continue on from the last one that i took.

If you have Sony, go into setup 1 or setup 2, Find file number, select that and then select reset. formatting your card might also work, but that deletes all files, so make sure you have them backed up somehow.

Photo No back to zero

FILE NAME..................................................Resetting the file names of pictures
RESET This method is useful when grouping files on separate cards.
The file number and folder number are reset every time a new card
is inserted in the camera. The folder number returns to [No. 100]
and the file number returns to [No. 0001].
AUTO This method is useful when you want to manage all your files
with sequential numbers.
Even if a new card is inserted, the folder number and file number are
retained from the previous card. This helps you to manage multiple cards.

To do this you go to the menu and to the setup option and press ok. Down arrow to file name and pick the option you want to use and press ok.

My fujifilm a800 will not let me take any pictures, saying 'frame no full' on the screen. please help

I've just had the same problem. You need to reformat your memory card (make sure you download your photos first as it will erase everything on the card). Then go into the set-up part of the menu on the camera. In there you should find the option -FRAME NO. This will be set on continuous. Select the option that says RENEW. This will reset the frame number counter. Once you have done this go back into the FRAME NO menu and set it back to continous. You can now start taking photos again as the counter has been reset.
