Is it legitimate copy of Minecraft? And if so then it's probably just server problems at the moment that will resolve eventually in due time.

The proxy server is refusing connections

When you set up your internet connection, you apparently entered information about a proxy server. Go back through that procedure and delete the reference to proxy server. Hope that helps!

How do I fix "Http service unavailable" message?

10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay.
Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection.
This not something you can fix, but rather, it can only be handled by the website you are trying to reach.

Firefox refuses connection with ultrasurf's proxy

Well Ultrasurf obviously does not want to work with your internet connection (like mine)

For now you need to remove Ultrasurf. Go to Tools>>Add-ons>>UltraSurf Firefox Tool>>Disable OR Uninstall.

That should at least get your internet working...

As for a working proxy, try using a "Web based proxy"

Google it.

Thanks,
Ted

Proxy Server Refused Connection Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. ...

If you're using Firefox, click on "Tools" at the top of the page, click on "Options" which is at the bottom of the list that comes up, then click Advanced, choose Network from the four tabs below that. There should be a sentence "configure how Firefox connects to the Internet". Click on the button next to it that says "settings". and make sure that "Auto-detect proxy settings for this network" has a dot in the little circle. If not, click on it and click on OK.
You may have to shut down Firefox (your internet browser programme), then try getting in again. Should have sorted it.
