Dimension 4550 CN 02U819 power supply works but no diagnostic lights and no beep codes and black monitor screen. Changed cpu and memory to no avail.

many dells take proprietary power supplies. if you are using an aftermarket power supply, then you may have burned out your mobo. irregardless, your mobo may be dead, and that mey be the very problem.
