I have just purchased JVC camcorder and i can't copy the videos that have downloaded onto my pc to an email address

You must use the software that comes with the Camera to do your editing. You can not just copy straight to the computer you see that the Discs that come with your camcorder have software that enables you to down load your pictures using the capture window while your camera is connected to the computer by a USB of 1394 firewire cable. You must have all these utilities in order to do your download. You will see options on your software to convert your pictures for email addressing that makes them to the required small files. Without the software being loaded your camera might not be recognized.

Olympus Stylus, keep getting error message to format card. Formatted card and had to erase pictures in the process. Took more pictures and got error message again. Plugged camera into PC and there are no...

Seems like your Memory Card already damaged and corrupted. If you still want to use it, try formatting it using your Computer, again and again.
If the problem still persist, there's no other way, you have to buy the new ones.

Error C31:40 will not take in a cassette

After not using my camera (Sony HVR-V1U) for one week, I took it out for an assignment but the error keeps coming up C:31:40 asking me to eject the cassette. The camera never gave me problems before this.I have tried smacking it at the bottom with the flat of my hand, flowing it with a hair dryer, shaking it, opening the cassette door for hours but nothing seems to work. The sony technician says I may have to send it in for repairs can any one help before I have to resort to this?

Sony Handycam DCR HC42 Video Capturing

you should be using a firewire cable to transfer video from cam to comp-cable comes 4 pin to 6 or 4 pin to 4 pin use 4 x4 for laptop and 4 x 6 for tower-make sure comp has port-not usb which is only for stills-once cam is connected or before open movie maker in vista and it should work or connect cam and computer should recognize it

Handycam utility will not work

Took me a lot of cursing, and it's very simple. On your camera's screen there are 2 options saying "USB Connect". Only when you look really closely do you see that the 1st one is for the hard disk and the second is for a memory card. I expect you are using the wrong one..I was!

Just figured this out--decided I'd get on the internet to see if anyone else had this problem then went to my Sony Camcorder--You must finalize your disk before you can see it on the computer--you can see it on the tv by plugging it up but you must finalize the disc before you can see it on the computer--Just go to home on your camcorder and touch finalize--it will take a little bit but when it finalizes just hook up your usb cable and it should come up
