Question about Sharp LC Televison & Video
Turned my TV on and there was no picture but multiple green (possibly yellow and red also) horizontal lines running through the screen. Turned off the TV and turned back on, and the picture came back up. This happened a few more times until the final time, no picture came on after multiple power offs and ons. Left the TV off for about three weeks thinking it needs to be replaced. I turned it on again randomly just last night and now the picture is fine again. The TV is about 7 years old. Should I just replace it or do you think it's a cable issue?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Red Light Flashing 6 times
When the lamp fails in this unit, often the thermal fuse opens. The error code is 6 blinks. To replace this part requires a great deal of deal of disassembly.

common problems with these, usually customers here a loud pop. then the screen goes blank. I would try...
Some of these have a 4 pin test on the control board that you can jump with solder to get test pattern. If you get it to do that then these boards maybe good and would replace the control board. if nothing happens, then
the upper & lower drive also the Ysus and Zsus boards all at the same time.
last could be a defective panel.
hope this helps. p/n are on all the boards.

Unplug it from the wall, wait 2 minutes and plug it back in. if problem still exists, its probably the main pcb.
