SOURCE: Listening to voice mail messages

Probably not, but the voice mail extension is still a dialable number. Try 500 or 165 or asking whoever installed it what the extension is.
It will prompt you the same as if you had pressed the MESSAGE button, only there will not be any new messages. You just have to play the OLD messages and you'll hear them.

3 to delete messages. These are instructions for a TVS system. It generally applies to the TVA system as well, with a few extra digits.

We tend to install Voice Mail as extension 165 or 500. What happens when you dial that on the intercom? If nothing, check the voice mail unit in the back room. It will probably be a smaller black and blue box with the TVA-50 in silver on the cover. It should have a single solid green light if it is synchronized with the phone system. If it is, then you can try to find out where it's connected to the system. It can be any digital port, so look for a missing number in your numbering plan like 112 or 120 on a TDA-50 or 115,116 on a TDA-100.
You may be able to check the button by pressing PROGRAM and the button and read the display. I'm not 100% positive that it will work on a fixed button (it used to work on a 74xx set where you could remap the button) but it might give you an indication if it got reprogrammed.
