your going to either buy a share, Y-cable to run both tvs, or switch box to select the tv you want to watch a that time

the connector on the tv has to match the connectors on the converter box.
just remember you will be watch same channel at the same time

you could also leave everything hooked up, than get Y-connector and put on the output of the box run line to each tv your still be watching the same channel without doing a lot of work and time

If the cable box has audio and video outputs on it then use RCA type cables to connect the outputs of the cable box into the video and audio IN of the back of the VCR. Then select L1 on the VCR. If your TV has video and audio input connectors connect another set of cables form the VCR OUT to the IN puts of the TV, then select the AV inputs on the TV. If your TV doesn't have video and audio inputs, then use a coax cable from the RF/Antenna OUT of the VCR and connect it to the antenna jack on the TV. Now select 3or4 on the VCR to whatever works for your location and tune the TV to that same channel. That's it ...you now can watch and record the channel you're watching. You will have to have the VCR powered up all the time to watch TV

Treat the Cable Box like any other audio device.

IF the cable Box has optical digital output, run it to the LG. Run the analog audio output of the Cable Box to the TV so you can watch lo-fi shows without the LG turned on.

are you connecting it to a cable box or straight to the cable?
do u have analog signal in your area? meaning can you watch tv without a cable box ? (where do u live?)
what input are u on the tv?
you need to consider all this b4 u start troubleshooting.

Buy a spliter and install it on your line out (to tv) on your cable box. Now u have two lines out, but both tv sets must watch the same chanel

The signal you are viewing is an analog signal.

The cable companies take the signals for your basic channels and resend them through the cable as analog so the customers that still plug the cable direct to their TV can still get some programming without the added costs of digital cable boxes on every TV.

This option will be slowly phased out over time but for now it is available.

Does not sound like the tv. Try using your TV WITHOUT (!!) the cable box and see if the situation repeats. If no problems...the cable box is defective.

In short, the answer is: Hook up all three to each other. I have a Samsung DLP HDTV, and I was trying to hook up a Sony DAV-HDX500 home-theater system and a Comcast HD set-top box, but I found that the Sony user guide is helpful only for setting up the speakers. Most of what it had to say about HDMI and getting the TV sound or cable sound to go through the speaker system was wrong (or, at least, it didn't work for me). So, here's what I did. I connected Component video cables (Y/Pb/Pr out) from the Cable box to the TV (Y/Pb/Pr in), audio cables from the Cable box (audio out) to the Sony system ("SAT/Cable" audio in), and an HDMI cable from the Sony system (HDMI out) to the TV (HDMI in). This allows me to 1) watch DVDs with surround sound through the TV's HDMI source (when the "DVD" format is selected on the Sony system), 2) watch cable with surround sound through the TV's Component source (when the "SAT/Cable" format is selected on the Sony system), and 3) watch cable WITHOUT the surround sound, as I did before I ever had the Sony system. One item of note: When watching a non-HD channel with the surrond sound on, the audio is slightly out of synch with the video; thankfully, there's no such problem on HD channels. Anyway, I hope this helps. It drove me crazy for two days straight!

If you can get some of the stations without the box (often the case for those who subscribe to digital cable or movie channels), then one setup is to split the raw cable and feed the box and the TV, then have the box feed the VCR and hook up the VCR composite video and line level audio outputs to the TV. The VCR tuner would always be set to the VHF frequency your cable box RF output is on, usually ch. 2, 3 or 4. This setup allows PIP to work, with the TV tuner limited to unscrambled analog stations, and it also allows you to tape anything coming through the box, while watching unscrambled analog stations on the TV. However, it requires the VCR to be on and the TV set to the external video input to simply watch what is coming through the cable box. There are other ways to set this up with more flexibility using splitters and A/B switches, or you can look for a special switch box that handles the job. The above assumes your TV has composite video and line level audio inputs. The only way to have full flexibility to watch any scrambled or unscrambled station at the same time as taping a scrambled station is to have 2 cable boxes. The only way to have your VCR control the cable box and record different programs by switching the box by itself is to have a VCR with a cable box controller, also known as a cable "mouse".
